I'm a dunce. Trying to start the game with cheats is what was causing it to fail. Since AMS and EDIZON have these enabled by default holding "L" when opening the game solved my issue.

"Scene" who? I'm running 6.2 and game works - I tried an update but did not allow the update (assuming required higher firmware) my firmware block not helping....running Atmosphere.

Update to 7.0.1 and it works fine. My issue was that I builded a xci of the nsp release and my NSC builder version was old.
