If you really think you can make Mario Galaxy even 0.0001% better, then you need to: 1) get a freaking clue, 2) crawl in a cave, 3) not come out for a few months as punishment for such an epic embarassment.

People work on hacks for Zelda 64 and Mario 64 because those games can be emulated in 640x480 or higher on a PC. Mario Galaxy will not benefit from high-res textures because it will still run on the same hardware and in the same resolution, and that's assuming the game code doesn't choke on whatever you try to feed it.

Just reported this thread to mods.
Threads full of flames seem to becoming the norm and I think GBAtemp is suffering for it.

If you haven't anything nice to say...

Where's the flaming? Crikey you need to stop being so sensitive. As soon as a discussion with different opinions starts on here everyone starts crying and reporting threads. We can't all think the same thing all the time! That's the point of a forum, for debate, discussion and disagreement.

What Knocks is saying is right though, you can't just pile higher res textures etc into a game that's already been optimized for the hardware. Sure you can make it look different, and some may say that the new textures look better. But you can't improve the quality of any of it.

Not to mention that you can't start a thread with random (and false) information without even researching the subject first, call it a "project" and not expect to be told that it's impossible.

Right quit your arguing, accept criticism and advice.
