I'm not sure exactly what version you need to have to install this, as long as it isn't 3.4 i think. But if you have to downgrade to 3.2, then you can upgrade afterwards. I believe its compatible with every version

You can install it from any version of the system menu (even 3.4). If you are on v3.3 or higher and would like Trucha functionality, I suggest running waninkoko's IOS downgrader (you can either downgrade your IOS's before or after installing prelude, it doesnt matter). Again, im going to try to release it for tomorrow, but don't be upset if it turns out to be the following day..I have a paper to write :/.

I did mention that things could come up to delay my hopeful deadline.

I have a question... from the preview clip I saw, the CSM starts off with a CSM logo when the Wii is turned on. Will there be an option to replace that with the traditional health and safety warning.... Sorry but I'm a BIG sticklet for having everything looking official.

Personally, It was expected on my end... I know how embarrassing it could be if there was some crazy error in the prelude release... Which would only lead to a bunch of crazy threads and ridiculous, repetitive questions. I am sure it will be what hoped and expected because of how respected the coder has been since I have been hacking my Wii.

Great job Fors... I wish I was young and smart again with this sort of knowledge... I'd be working for Nintendo or some other company like that.

i hope their isnt the option to not display the logo myself

don't worry, prelude is as official as it gets. Its a stripped down basic functionality of the real cSM, using patches that arent extreme enough to need BootMii just in case. The full cSM (still in development) won't be released until BootMii is out. Prelude makes no visual changes, whereas cSM "1.0" or whatever codename I decide to call it will have many.

im pretty sure the 002 error is caused by not having the correct IOS installed (that comes on the disc). I should be able to implement this fix into the installer as long as its available on NUS. If its not, then you'll have to do it yourself sorry :/

Quick Edit: I may code in IOS downgrading support into the installer as well, just to make it a complete solution...In fact, come to think of it im beginning to rush to get it out. Im sorry to get everyone's hopes up but I want to make sure this is a complete release so im gunna noob protect it a bit more >.>

... found some new functions in them... And new network drivers....
..atm I'm trying to use IOS55 as cIOS249... just to check out if it'll fix some stuff.

Sorry man, if you don't have a modchip you can't get homebrew on your wii just yet :/

I DO have an idea though that might very well solve the homebrew issue on new wii's of the future, but its merely an idea atm, i havent looked into it. For your sake though you'll have to either get a drivechip or wait for Twiizer's new savegame hack (whatever that may be)

Just an idea Forsaken you might want to do a beta test before you release it, Give to beta testers to see if they see any problems, or things that should be fixed how we did with backup launcher just an idea
