my understanding, 1:1 is like in GameBoy era

in GB. GBC. and GBA there a lot of knock-off games that work on original machine. it work just the same as original games, but its clone/knock-off games.

i know this from experience, there ZERO seller in my country selling original game carts for GBA.
fake gamecarts years ago is about 20USD, yes it is expensive.

Remember the episode of South Park where Cartman has his own theme park and he accidentally discovers the brilliant business strategy of letting others wait forever to build up hype before they can enter the park and ride the rides?

...doesn't really have much to do with anything being discussed round here...but it was a pretty funny episode, one of my favourites

LOL at all u kids waiting for this so u can get free games keep.dreaming u will be waiting at least another full year until.the 3ds gets hacked and probably 2 until backups can be played.

Haven't read the whole topic, so dunno if anyone has said this, but; if they do make a 1:1 copy, the way they could go about it is having the Rom manager in ds mode, like how flashcarts work on the 3ds now. Then that Rom manager in ds mode would pick one of the 3ds roms and restart the handheld with that specific game loaded as the cart in the 3ds on the menu. Seems like it could work, but I honestly don't know that much about how flashcarts actually operate.
You can't switch from DS mode to 3DS mode. There would be no ROM manager, you just load the ROM onto the cart and the 3DS sees it as that game. That's all this would do.
Can you read correctly next time? I KNOW you can't go from DS mode to 3DS mode. I specifically said it would RESTART the 3DS with the loaded game. The flashcart would act as 2 different carts in 1 but in order to start the 3DS part of it you would need to load the DS first so it knew what game to act as. Either you need to learn and comprehend basic English or stop being an asshole who constantly tries to disprove EVERYONE cause you don't believe a flashcart is in the works? If you do believe one is, then fuck off and wait for it to be posted on the front page (as it'll be all over the net when a hack/ flashcart is produced) I'm fed up of seeing you constantly acting like a know-it-all.

loltrying2hard.

First off, see...Foxi's post, I think, about the possible size of just a 3DS flashcard. Having just multiple 3DS games be playable could already cause the card to be longer than normal, how long do you think it'd be after putting a DS flashcard on it? Also, the card would have to have a switch indicating what kind of card it would be. That's what I meant by you can't switch from DS mode to 3DS mode (I guess you could have a switch on the card itself, but again, even more bulky).

Secondly, I won't tolerate your attempt at personal attacks and neither will the mods

Thirdly, holy shit I'm turning into prowler

no one is going to attatch a actual da flash cart to it
it is going to integrated into it using the same components

and about that switches you need
they are not big at all
a high end pc can already contain a few billion of them
some thousand of em wont burst a flash cart open

speaking of flash, look at micro sd
enough storage for multiple games
but small enough not to consider handling even smaller ones

All I hope is the crown3ds price is cheap like R4.
Oh, you should know, R4DS wasn't always about $6.
When they came around in 2007, I paid $65 for an R4DS and a 1gb microSD card. They were both pretty new technologies at the time so they weren't cheap.

I can imagine Crown3DS as a premiere 3DS flashcart solution would not be cheap (or whatever comes out first), and they'd have to work on SDXC support as SDHC memory is bound to 32gb, some 3DS games are already 4gb, and often sit around 512mb to 1gb easily.

Well, if this truly was a scam, they aren't really behaving like the traditional scammer. Making big claims, claiming small quantities to extort pre-orders with a high money down, send a replica knock off of a card that already exists and disappears off the face of the internet.

Still, I am the kind to wait to see what others say about it. Sort of like a brand new roller coaster that just opened up. I wait for a while for others to play the unintentional guinea pigs, to see if the ride doesn't go bust on them. Then, I take a chance to ride it, myself. ^.^

lolvideo is lol
Wow, Luigi, wow. I get your point, but that video is the dumbest "proof that Crown people haven't done anything" in the world - in this video you can *clearly* see that it's just a cartridge with tape connected to it, in the Crown video you can *clearly* see that what's put in the console is a custom connector in a cartridge shell. Two entirely different things - this is really a fail troll.

Thirdly, holy shit I'm turning into prowler
No you're not, if you are, where are the .gif's man?

I...I had one ready...

The looks serious .. untilllll.....
The prototype has a wrench over the circuit board!!!
Then the guy said, now we make a few final adjustement with the screwdriver and then hit the prototype with the hammer... LOL... funny..

even if the 3DS is hacked they will not create a CWF because they will not earn a lot money for it but if they create a flashcart it will sell alot scatter all over the world.... but who knows maybe some guy not interested in money will make it...

Doesn't really matter if Crown3DS is real or not. The moment the first true 3DS card comes out it will be reverse engineered and a flood of cards will be out within 6 months. It'll be the original R4 all over again.
