Yes, it was with Crap. I used the Configurable Forwarder (without intro) and Configurable USB Loader v49.

The ISO is unpatched, and the loader uses the BCA file.

Thnx. I got the channel working, I just have to find A loader dol that goes straight to the game. no text etc...

Use nointro forwarder if you don't want to see CFG Loader Splash screen. Also in 2.6b batch mode is fixed, so it's easier to recreate the channels from banners with these new loaders...
How does the batch banner thing work? How does it know which GAMEID to launch? Do I just name the banners the ID of the game I want it to forward to?

Also, is there a good way to batch extract banners from WAD's?

And one more, (I'm asking a lot of questions I know
rolleyes.gif
) can you add functionality to batch convert WAD's? Assuming they were made by a previous version of Crap, they'd probably have the necessary info in them already for an upgrade of the loader inside them, right?

Currently (I can't remember which version of Crap I used, but it's an old one) my game channels go:
Wii Menu -> Game Banner -> CFG Loader Splash -> CFG Loader 'Loading Partition' -> CFG Loader 'Loading Game' -> The actual game.
You can skip the device/partition screen if you set them in cfg's settings file. This way you'll only see
Wii Menu -> Game Banner -> CFG Loader Splash -> CFG Loader 'Loading Game' -> The actual game.
But you won't have to select anything after klicking "Start".

Nah, I didn't have to select anything usually, it just says "Loading Partition" and does it automagically.

With the newer version of CFG loader, it's sped up quite noticeably. I mean about 5 seconds less. Sweet job Oggzee!

sounds like an awesome idea to me!!!

But is it do-able??

Extracting banners out of wads in batch is of course possible but in terms of Crap, it's not that much necessary since Crap saves every banner it encounters in a folder called Banners.
If you open a wad to create a triiforce loader channel it saves the banner as GAME NAME - {4 CHAR TITLE ID}.cbnr
If you open wbfs file it creates DISCID.bnr
If you open a iso or a game from wbfs drive it creates GAME NAME - {6 CHAR DISC ID}.bnr

And it doesn't delete these banners from your system so you can always reuse them in batch mode. (not cbnr files of course currently batch mode doesn't support them)
And you can reuse the cbnr files from the Banner selection in the program.

Any chance for batch banner extraction/channel creation using .wbfs files? Crap hasn't been updated to handle FAT/NTFS support with the WBFS 'partition' being the folder structure.

I'd really like to be able to just batch-rip the games I have, and use cfg forwarder as the loader, without having to do it all one game at a time.

I'm trying to get this to create channels to load games from a FAT drive using Cfg Loader but whenever I load the channel I always get a screen saying that the loader can't find WBFS1. I have got FAT1 selected in the option dropdown of Crap but it always gives me this error on the Wii. I then tried using the 'direct' method and this works fine through the test mode but if I then try and install the channel Crap tells me the channel can't be bigger than 2Mb.

Any pointers on where I'm going wrong?

@SilverStar : not soon but of course possible..

@scrotty : 2mb is the max online installable channel size... you can take the created wad and manually install. btw, which version of cfg loader are you using? maybe the version you are using doesn't support partition selection... also in some releases of Crap, cfg usb forwarder was broken try upgrade to 2.6b if you are not already using it.

I know it'd take a lot of effort to do, but I'm also for adding support for wbfs files. Just so you know that there's people who want it.

I'm using the latest release build of CFG (50). When I send the forwarder version as a test I get the partition error message and it allows me to select the correct partition (FAT1) and when I do the game loads normally. Not sure why it's not sending the correct partition data but I've checked and double checked my settings. I'm already using 2.6b so as far as I can see I have everything set up correctly. Ideally I don't want to build all my channels using the direct method purely because of the size issue and how much space they'll eat up on my system so if I can, I'd much prefer to get the forwarder style working.

Is it somehow possible to temporary override the default settings when loading the game? The way like the Loadstructor is doing it, you can hold B while loading the game and then you can change few settings temporary. I'm mainly interested in changing the language, it's usually on the system default (geman) for my kids, but sometimes i want to play it in english. Thanks.

This happens to me as well with the most current version. The older version I used to have worked fine (can't recall what version this wasy), so I'm unsure what's happened.

Thanks for the heads-up. I've just tried 2.5b and it works just fine

I've got the same problem as scrotty when used 2.6b, but tried 2.5b, it works fine, too. thanks scrotty & 9th_Sage

However, Wii Fit Plus (P) with 2.5b with configurable forwarder (no intro) got black screen mostly, but with intro, it works fine.

I have found that if I try to create channels using the batch method using 2.5b, I still get the partition error so I needed to create all my channels individually - lucky I only wanted about 6 so that the wife didn't need to click too many buttons to get her games going

And thank you, now I know I can go back to that version.

I thought the version I had was a bit older than that.

WiiCrazy can you please add NTFS as a selectable partition option please dude?
Are custom options for cfg loader possible with the latest crap?
If they are, you can just put partition=ntfs1

when u go into crap and pick config fowarder, theres a line for "Extra parameters" would partition=ntfs1 work in that space and leave the game partition selector blank?
