It's all irrelevant in the long run though, the government will only go after distributors. And to be honest, the Canadian justice system has far more pressing issues then catching a few people infringing on copyrights, like putting real criminals behind bars that are a threat to our physical living.

You are confusing a civil lawsuit with criminal prosecution. It won't be the government going after people but private companies/organizations.

Well, since it's technically legal to pirate music in Canada, as long as you don't sell it, (tbh, it's just a big gray area), the CRIA can't really come after me. I don't really pirate as much as I used to anymore, ever since the DS scene slowed down, though I expect my piracy sprees to continue when the 3DS or WiiU scene opens up.

I just pirate TV shows, movies and music, really. PC Games I can get through Steam for dirt cheap if I wait for the sales, nowadays. I kinda just stopped pirating PC games since about 2 years ago.. Now, as for Wii, that's another story.
