Emulation CPU mode won't change ingame

I was attemping to play mario kart 8 before launching the game I set the CPU mode to triple core but apon starting it up it reset CPU mode to single core and restricted me from changing it in game and matter how many times I change it back to triple it reset SO PLEASE HELP ME THIS FRUSTRATING AS HELL

Try changing the mode to triple core in the game properties but doesn’t mk8 constantly freeze and crash on anything besides single core.
