the back cover art would be a great idea... problems being, are you going to make it zoom the screen like his disc picture does? if so, youll need a hi-rez picture to start with... if you are planning it to just flip at the cover lineup screen the text will be small and blurry...
maybe incorporate it with that database that other guy was making where it will show info like how many players, wi-fi, compatible controllers, genre, etc.... i WISH i knew which games were multiplayer and which were not...

Hello there people,
Just to let you know that abort called bug i got all the time and i thought it was a image of the game was corrupt but i deleted all covers that i had downloaded with the loader and works fine will have another go in about 1hr or so when i get the chance to find out which cover and game that makes it crash.

Will try and help as much as i can because this loader is the best i have seen up to now and it could also do a lot more once all small bugs are fixed

Don do you want me to pm you the widescreen coordinates I have here for the default settings? That way people can get using it straight away when it's implemented.
Or if you prefer I can send you what I have just now with all the image stuff, including templates. You can ditch any image stuff you have just now, this is all the final stuff pretty much.

Ok cd, bring them on.
alongside with the empty version of this background+setting screen.:

pm me asap, this way i can't miss them.

i no longer have a wii...
i lend it to my brother and he managed to fry it (god knows how)... i'm so fucking mad.
it was one of the xmas gift i made to my gf.
damn, i want to kill him...

Edit2:
anyone knows a link on how to fix a "no video signal" issue. i can't even check with another scart cable as i don't have one near me. i'm praying GOD that it's only such an issue and not a brick.

Looking nice cdreams. I do think a little more space around the console (in the options menu) would look better though. To clarify: If 'Total space, free space etc' would be positioned a little lower and little to the right or the 'box' surrounding it would start a little higher and to the left.

Don just need to send you a modified Dark Main image, I was testing this one and took out the reflections but the actual package one should have them so check pm and just replace the two files I send. One is the actual usable main.png and the second will be the main.psd both in dark

Hey Katerm.

I think Don's going to allow you to place the console wherever you please, so you will be able to just drag that box to the position you please. I put it there based on where the last coordinates where so it can work straight away without much problems and anyone with a version of the loader just now can use it.

So it should be customisable and possible to change.

Hi cdreams,

Does that include the ability to control the consoles width? Otherwise if I move it to the right it could overlap the box on the right side...
That wouldn't be a big problem, I would simply modify the background but I just wanted to check.

I appreciate what both you and Don are doing and am looking forward to the widescreen version.

Well this is all assuming Don finished the idea off, with the new loader he may leave some bits out. The original plan was to have it so you could alter the coordinates of where the boxes load to and the console. You would also have the ability to set the sizes.

So in answer to your question, yes it would mean you could resize the console width in the Settings page.

I've basically made templates of all the little bits like the place-holders, the logo, the Wiimote and it's buttons, some icons for a little settings cogwheel ect ect. The idea was to allow people to tweak, resize and fiddle with them to what they wanted. They are all on separate layers to use and drag and drop to wherever and as long as you update the config to match, then it should work as intended. All you need to do is make sure you flatten the image in PS

Anyone?
After a lot of shiver and stress i managed to figure out some stuff:
- i can hear the sound of the wii booting, so it's not severe brick.
- the wiimote rumbles when i move it in front of the tv (blue-no signal) screen, so it's not an issue with the IR module.

Might either be a wifi or cable issue, omg if it could only be that.

Set to 480p but not on a 480p TV..?? Sounds like a fried video card or improper settings.

Any friends got another cable??

God knows I'm just throwin out ideas

oh no... gitkua i wished you have said something else...
damn. it's almost 9'oclock and all stores are closed or about to.
i can't even roam the town to buy a component cable.

Here is a little idea of what the loader might look like when in use:

I have been quite interested in this since the demo video was released. Just to ask, will this contain source code from 1.5? Also, if possible... will custom background music be supported with the next version? As i fancy Menu 1 from SSBM or SSBB playing in the background.

I think Don was going to try implement sounds into the loader. As I say though I am not sure really what will happen. There is teh new coverflow being coded by Nullkill, and I think Don and some other guys on here are looking to maybe use that as the next version of this loader or something like that.

Who knows what will happen. I personally would like to see this loader used for the look, but have the images loaded into the background in the newer one. Maybe that was confusing lol.

So take the working coverflow on the other thread where the images are animated, have that load into the central area of the main.png of this loader and it would be perfect.

If it can load reflections and allow for the switching to the settings page, then brilliant. I also mentioned I think when you press up or down on the D-Pad it would be nice if it flipped the box to show the cover, it could come a bit closer like in this loader so it's clear enough to see the actual writing and images on the back cover. Then you just press up or down again and it goes back to the coverflow. Press A on a game and it brings up the confirmation box with A to load or whatever else you want to add there.

In the Settings page, which would still be accessed with B, you see the 3D boxart and you can set options for the game and loader there and save it to a txt file so it will load the same each time.

I think with those additions the loader would basically be almost perfect. I'm just waiting to see what the guys plan. If they want myself to do graphical stuff or not.

I just updated the MAIN PAGE image as I had taken out reflections while testing something, but it's back now so that is what you will see

Have you tried the video reset method?

- Power on Wii, give it a few seconds to boot
- Hold DOWN on the directional pad of the Wii remote
- While holding DOWN, press the RESET button on the Wii

The Wii should reboot and the screen settings back to default.
All other settings (wifi, console name, etc.) should be intact.

Have never tried this myself but it should be worth a try...
