I'm going to do a full NAND backup as soon as I can but I have a doubt: I have xenoblade 2 that I downloaded from eshop months ago and it is installed in the console internal memory (not in the sd). Save files from xenoblade and mario (cartridge) are there too.

So, what will happen to this things? Will they be in the backup? If i delete them will my backup be faster (xenoblade is about 10 gb)?

If you do a full backup the backup will be 32gb regardless of how many games you do or do not have on the switch. As such it will take the exact amount of time to perform

If you have the space to store a 32gb file on your pc for the long term I would do this

ok, thanks for answering. One last question, I'm curious to know how it works:

1) I do my backup with xeno in it etc.
2) I delete xeno on the switch
3) I restore the backup
4) I will find xeno again on the switch?

Because of the thing that 1KB is 1024B, 1MB is 1024KB and 1GB is 1024MB, but it is 32 000 000 000 B in size
That is just wrong. KB means kilo byte. Kilo means 1000. 1 KB = 1000 KB. 1024 byte is 1 KiB. 1 MB = 1.000.000 bytes. 1024KB = 1 MiB.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Mine is only 29gb
Are you sure?! I think it is 29 GiB

Is the other way around
1024KB=1000KiB

In France "1Ko" is used to say that it is 1024o (o means octet which is a byte)

I wonder how small the rawnand.bin becomes if you 7zip it. That significantly reduced the size of a New 3DS NAND backup.

What is the simplest method of doing a NAND backup? I'm waiting on SX PRO to arrive and was going to follow Skullator's tutorial on Youtube, but if someone has a link to a step by step guide, it would be appreciated.

hekate that's all
sx pro won't allow you to backup or restore
hekate is the only way
and very easy to do

Using 7zip portable with highest compression my backup is 500mb.
Used WinMD5 checker before compression, and unzipped again after compression.Same hash.so it can be quite small
