Hacking Corrupted Pokemon Y Data Help

So I thought of the great idea to put a save file from another cartridge onto my crap pokemon Y (thank god) and now am stuck in a corrupted state. I used powersave (if that wasn't obvious). Has anyone had this problem and been as stupid as me?

restore an old backup from your cartridge.

you cannot swap saves with someone else.

By corrupted state, are you saying that nothing recognizes the cartridge? I know that has happened to some people using the gar chomp winter card... and there is no current fix AFAIK.

Press UP + X + B and then you'll be able to start a new save

Whenever I start the game it says the data is corrupted I cannot get to the main menu... I didn't have a backup before this.

Well. Then you've just learnt a very important lesson. Always have backups.

Before you ask, no there's no way to get your previous saves back. Why? Because you didn't backup.
