Convert ripped Skyward Sword music?

All of the songs I dumped from SS using Dolphin lack a file extension and I'm having trouble finding an audio converter that can read them. Is there anything I can use to convert to .wav or ,mp3?

If they're not in any format, how do you know they're not corrupted? Something tells me you didn't rip the music files correctly.

They aren't corrupted; they play without error in VLC and Dolphin says that the game is a good dump. I used Dolphin to extract the files. The files have no extension when viewed in Dolphin.

What happens if you just add an extension at the end like mp3, flac, wav or something else? Could it be read in VLC?

doesn't VLC have a debug screen or log screen that can tell you the format that was used to decode them?

file formats use something called MAGIC to help identify the file type, so drop it into a hex editor and see if anything jumps out at you.

So, I forgot that VLC has an option to convert files. Here's what I got, including some info that is relevant to anybody else who may find this:
VLC will play the files just as they are and it will play them if you add the .flac extension to the file (but not .mp3).
Playing the files as-is will mix channels improperly for some tracks. Sky theme will have drums that are too loud. Converting to .mp3 with VLC will keep this issue. Converting to .flac lets you decide between different versions of a song. The Sky theme has a version with drums playing and a version without; converting with 4 channels plays the song without drums and converting with 6 channels plays it with drums (at the proper volume this time).
Three tracks are missing from the sounds folder in the .iso because they are in videos instead rather than their own separate tracks.

maybe, but I'm unfamiliar with that file format. it should work as long as it's not encrypted or compressed.

probably have to go to some resource page like wii brew to see if it even lists something like that.

Very easy.

You can use a free tool named MultiCommander (on Windows) then rename the extensions to BRSTM.

Then install the free audio player foobar2000 and also grab the vgmstream plugin to go with it. You can play the music or convert to multiple popular formats.

Also, foobar2000 on Android includes vgmstream and can play said music.
