Not possible at the moment and probably not forever, however you can pickup a flashcard to play ds roms.

Yes, just rename the file extension.
Though I don't sure if you can install and play it on your 3ds.

It doesn't work like that. You have to use make_cia.

That is the reason I said it probably won't work.
But it will convert your NDS to CIa however.

Even if you could, there's no way it could boot, since nds system capabilities are only accessible from the cartridge slot, and there's no VC provided from nintendo natively.

There doesn't necessarily I have to be a VC. One could replace the 3DS CIA rom with a NDS rom. How? I'm not sure.

Exactly. So replace the Cartridge info on an actual cartridge with NDS info. Like I said, I don't know how but Smealum said its possible, so bring it up with him

No, it won't convert it. You just change the file extension.
If you have a .pdf and change the extension to .jpg you haven't converted it to an image.

op: Just buy a cheap flashcard that can play nds roms.

Also is there such thing ad DSIWARE cart cause if its on dsiware, is a "Must download from eshop" thing, so it can't exist in cart form.
