Hacking consiteing going to AceKard2 or DSTT

Anyone want to help me decide? they are both cheap, and both decent carts. Im kinda worried about picking up a fake DSTT thought, and the AceKard2 got a GBAtemp Gold award...

I shouldnt be paying more than $20 for either of these right?

acekard 2 is cheap $11 at dealextreme so you should be able to get it real good and it has great menus and features. I would recommend you pick that up instead since they are no different in price really except maybe $2 but acekard comes with a wealth of features thanks to the AKAIO firmware.

I ordered both from DealExtreme because I wasn't sure, and while I haven't received them yet, the Acekard 2 looks to be a better choice from what I've been reading.

My DSTT is most likely counterfeit and will have to be exchanged.

I ordered before they started check that they were legitimate and not counterfeit.

Acekard 2.1 is a good card, 2.0 not so much. Better than DSTT still.

Also, AKAIO isn't all it's cracked up to be. It's convoluted without offering much real additional functionality.

ya, it says on the cart itself "v. 2.1" or "2.0".

Note that there is a 2.1 and so-called 2.1+. The 2.1 has a green PCB and is the same design as older carts that had soldering problems, but the newer ones have better quality control and shouldn't have any problems. The 2.1+ has been redesigned with a black PCB and it uses up slightly less power and is not prone to the cold soldering problems that older ones had. Both are marked "2.1".

If you can, you may want to try to get the one with the black PCB, but the green PCB will work just fine.
