Brilliant thank you, just need to work out how to connect the Switch to my router safely now.Just set SMB as protocol and enter the IP and username/password. I use it to back up my save data to my NAS.
I accidently deleted my NAS connection within Tinfoil.Just set SMB as protocol and enter the IP and username/password. I use it to back up my save data to my NAS.

Just switch to a different title installer such as TinWoo Installer.I accidently deleted my NAS connection within Tinfoil.
Now, whatever I configure, it doesn't list any files?!
protocol: smb
Host: tried both, NASNAME & IP
Port: empty and 445
Path: fileserver/Gaming/NSW
User & Pass properly written
Any Idea why it won't show me my files anymore?

SMB always requires a share name and there is no "root folder" (windows shows a list of shares), so you'll have to use "saves" as a path to get some kind of traversable filesystem.Hi, I know this is a old thread but can I get help on this?
I have a zimaboard SBC as a NAS
I'm trying to get tinfoil to save my save game files to the Nas using smb,
The "address" CasaOS (Linux based) gives me to SMB/share the folder is:
\\192.168.1.42\saves (that's the name of the folder, but that's not the complete path to the folder)
I've set up this in host and left path empty, I've also put my user name and password but tinfoils throws an error to save the file.
I'm not sure if I set host to just ip and then in path the whole file directory path or what? In my smart tv and windows I just copy/paste and input user and password and that's it, but not sure about how to foil manages smb protocol.
