Here is a little cfg USB Loader MOD.
It has an auto cIOS select feature like NeoGamma.
Sourcecode and .diff patches are included.

It's optional, right? The thing I most dislike about Wiiflow is that it forces you to use a slower base when a faster one is available.
wiiflow doesnt force you to do it if you dont like the auto setting you can change the cios to load whatever base you want or just install base 56 is 249 and base 57 in 250 all solved no need for any other bases
Don't you have to do that for each game, individually, on the ini file?
There is no way to do it in the config menu.
no you just change it in the game settings for whatever game you want

You might be using an older version of wiiflow.
Check mugotu's comments.
im on the beta team using r415 cause r417 isnt the greatest and i can promise you that you can change the ios as long as your using d2x v6+ i have both 56 and 57 installed in 249 and 250 respectivly and i can switch between the two of them in the game settings

That's probably the reason why. I've stopped using wiiflow but still have r417 (nightly buid) installed and you can no longer change IOS on the game menu. Unless they revert to r415-like menu, we've lost that feature going forward.

yea with 417 and 417 alpha 4 that feature no longer exsists and wont be back but i dont recommend 417 or 417 alpha 4

I see, but this validates JoostinOnline's point. He stated that he does not like the fact that wiiflow enforces auto ios selection and you countered that it does, but it really doesn't because, as you said, the feature is not coming back...

Well, I should clarify, the features does still exist but not easily accessible through menus in future versions and has to be set for each game.

like i said other fix for that problem is just 56 in 249 and 57 in 250 then the auto ios isnt that big of a problem but i undertand the complaints with the auto ios feature but we should tone down the wiiflow conversation in the configurable usb loader topic.

I agree to both.

The issue is also that not all bases work with all HDDs. For example, some people are able to get it running on base 58, but not on other bases. This also applies to hermes cIOS, which WiiFlow dropped support for.

Anyway, thankfully Configurable USB Loader still lives up to it's name, because it allows you to choose what you want, thus retaining higher compatibility.

Hi a use cfg usb-loader, and can get online, in program a cant download anything, in game say error 51030, is not e network error, i can go in shop channel, using usb-loader gx i can download covers and no error in online gaming.
What i need configure to cfg usb-loader can be online?

This may sound crazy, but would it be possible to support loading Gamecube games from SD assuming DML is installed to an IOS slot? It would be nice to have one loader for both Wii and Gamecube games.

Is there any NGC game support yet? Postloader added a Game section for DML and ngC games are running now from SD.
CFG USB Loader project is paused, hence there wil be no updates until the developers decides to work on it again. And also I think the name talks for it self "CFG USB Loader". Actually what I would want to see is "CFG DML Loader" (for Gamecube) and "CFG Channel Loader" (for WiiWare etc). To keep them all seperated. They could still use the same GUI (with some smal diffrenses). That way the wheel doesn't have to be invented again.

It would be much more practical to have them all integrated under the same loader, like the others say, and be able to use filters to show GCN only or Wiiware only or disc games only, or any combination of those, etc. You could filter for, say, VC NES games or VC SNES games, etc. It beats having to switch between similar looking loaders in order to access different types of games.

At any rate, what we need is a branch of this project to add nand emulation, DML support, etc. That's where the growth is, since disc based games are already handled almost perfectly. As i understand it, the CFG authors are not interested in any of this, so somebody would have to pick it up and branch off.

CFG does not require any special settings to go online.
The only thing I think of is that perhaps you are loading CFG with a cIOS that has problems going online, and using a different cIOS for your other loaders. All loaders have a way of showing you what IOS slot they are using, usually in the settings screen. Also, most loader support individual cIOS selection to load each game, so you should compare that too.

No problem. I'm a bit of a newb myself.
Unless you are using that cIOS for a particular reason, you might want to look at the latest d2x for great game compatibility and less problems down the road.
Regards.

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble getting CFG to work every time. It randomly hangs when I launch a game, and it says this:
Code:
Red Steel 2
[RD2X41] 2.97GB IOS53
[+] Booting Wii game, please wait...

So I have to reboot the Wii, sometimes it works after that.

My Wii was running 4.3E before I softmodded it, then I followed GAF's tutorials to install
- The Homebrew Channel and BootMii
- IOS236
- d2x
- IOS58 to install a forwarder

I'm using IOS249 base 56 and IOS250 base 57.
Whenever I launch CFG it says v70 249.

I noticed that every time it fails, the background music doesn't play in CFG. I've seen that mentioned in various forums but the workarounds (installing IOS 249 and 250) don't seem to work for me!

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, I'm a complete noob!!
Thanks :)
