Already asked this on the IRC channel, but is it possible to add compatibility with external DVD readers? Hermes added it on uLoader, I don't know if you can use the source code as a base.
If this already works in the loader, just don't pay attention to my post. Keep up the good work, btw.
Bump, :/.
Bump (again).
Not again?!

Sorry, but no, i won't be adding that, I see very little value in that and don't consider it worth spending the time on that.

Thanks. I just wanted an answer (this is not for me, is for a friend of mine).

Would like to see an option for more Slot support for cIOSX, ie 245, 246, 247, 251, 252, 253, etc
Although I think having 4 slots is enough for normal use I'll have to agree that sometimes having another slot or two might come handy when testing stuff, especially when a new cios revision is out, like now, so I guess I might add 245 and 246, but that should be enough.

QUOTE(tHeWiZaRdOfDoS @ Dec 27 2010, 02:18 AM) I already asked about a feature some pages ago, it was prolly not seen because I edited it in:
A feature request related to that post - could the country code get part of the cover names?
What do you think about it? This could be very useful

EDiT: oh and one more

It would be nice to have manual language selection in USB Loader.
I won't be adding country code to image name, that just complicates stuff for me...
If by language selection you mean translations, you can use the option:
# translation = [AUTO], EN, custom, etc.
# Current auto values: JA, EN, DE, FR, ES, IT, NL, ZH, ZH, KO
# Any filename is supported as long as a corresponding translation
# file exists

Well that's a pity (about the covers).
I know about language selection via config.txt but it would be nice to be able to change the GUI language from within the loader - what do you think?

hey ogg.. when you run off a ntfs drive, can ocarina code files be on the same drive, or do those code files have to be on a fat partition or sd card to work?

Obviously that works from NTFS - though ntfs_write may have to be set to "1"

I did a 4 gig split using Wii Backup Manger. When hooked to Wii it just times out trying to find drive.
Anyone have any ideas? Drive is set up Fat 32 using WiiHacks guide.
The time out is not related to split size or filesystem used.
It might be an incompatible drive. Or it doesn't get along well with the cios you're using.
Try cfg62-222.dol which uses hermes cios 222 it has a different usb driver.
Or try installing cios rev21 base 58 to slot 249, that one has a different usb driver.
Good luck.

A suggestion for Cfg Loader would be to add an option inside the loader to download the languages.

A lot of new things would be nice but i don't have time for that...

Maybe you could put it on the "todo" list - there's no need for a rush but once you have free time you could fullfill one or two wishes
smile.gif

On the other hand, I'll download the source code and try if I can change/add that myself, if I succeed I could supply a patch.

The todo list is already full of stuff i don't have time for.
Don't worry it's not the lack of ideas that doesn't push the loader forward.

Hello all.

Is it my impression or the new forwarder is not working:

Forwarders:
USBLoaderCFG - UCXF - IOS58 v6.wad
by FIX94: supports ios58 for usb2 based on WiiMC forwarder / NForwarder58 + meta.xml support by oggzee

Thanks in advance.

Will give it a shot, thank you! I have a WD Passport...says it's compatible.

good day.

i have tried using CFG in my usb drive and it works great but im wondering if it can support disc loading e.g.

DVD:\wbfs\GAMEID.wbfs
DVD:\wbfs\Title [GAMEID].wbfs
DVD:\wbfs\Title [GAMEID]\GAMEID.wbfs
DVD:\wbfs\GAMEID_Title\GAMEID.wbfs

DVD:\wbfs\GAMEID.iso
DVD:\wbfs\Title [GAMEID].iso
DVD:\wbfs\Title [GAMEID]\GAMEID.iso
DVD:\wbfs\GAMEID_Title\GAMEID.iso

would it be possible?

It would probably be possible, but we don't encourage the use of any burnt disc media with the Wii as it is known to lower the lifetime of the laser. There also doesn't seem to be any use to that feature apart from piracy. Both of these are huge negatives when it comes to evaluating new features, so it's extremely unlikely that it will ever be implemented.
