I don't care if the .dol stays on SD but the covers should load from USB (which they do) as should the cheats (which they don't) - this seems to mean - at least to me - that there is some directory confusion in USB Loader code.
Maybe you could add a parameter to tell the .dol which config.txt to use? As written I already tried the config-file option in configurator but that doesn't seem to work properly, it loads the config.txt from SD and uses the proper folders afterwards... everything would be easier to maintain if all files were written and read from HDD.

There is no confusion

The covers and music location are configurable while everything else is read from the base directory.
The base directory is determined by the existance of config.txt either in /usb-loader or /apps/usbloader
It is first looked up on the same mount point as the .dol location.
If they are not found there then usb:/usb-loader and ntfs:/usb-loader are tried.
So in principle all you need to do is move sd:/usb-loader to ntfs:/usb-loader
I guess you are right, things are complex and confusing, since even I keep forgetting all the time how it's supposed to work

let me know if that works

Well no, that doesn't work, I already tried that (see initial post) - it works only when sd:/usb-loader/config.txt is present and read (which then points the base dir to ntfs:/usb-loader)

EDiT: a feature request related to that post - could the country code get part of the cover names?

thanks for the guide, this is the only guide i have seent that includes the channel forwarder so for that Thanks very much

Then that's a bug.
Are you really sure?
I guess i need to try it...

Yes I'm sure, I tried it several times and with different setups, now.

Just to sum it up:
The .dol is on SD.
The usb-loader folder is on USB (NTFS).
If I start usb-loader with that setup, it will not load the covers, etc. but just load the defaults.
If I start usb-loader with the same usb-loader folder on SD (but covers on NTFS only) then it will load everything properly.

It'd be great if you could reproduce and fix that issue - if I can help you, let me know.

Ok I have reproduced the problem but it's just a case sensitivity issue.
When you have copied usb-loader from fat to ntfs it probably created a CONFIG.TXT in upper case.
ntfs in cfg is at the moment case sensitive so you will need to rename that to config.txt and all other files and dirs that are upcase to lowcase.
After that it works as it's supposed.
Sorry about that, I will enable the ignore case flag for ntfs in the future.

QUOTE(tHeWiZaRdOfDoS @ Dec 23 2010, 04:48 PM) Just wanted to mention it: the first post seems to be broken. Some BB-tags aren't "translated" - maybe one wasn't "closed".
Those are directly html tags and they work only after a mod has edited the post.

Thanks, that's why the forwarder wasn't working for me. Couldn't load the dol off my ntfs drive.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 does not work anymore
ohmy.gif

It worked in the past. im running ciosx 21 and tried ciosx 20 too..
Results in green screen.

Edit: works with language to english.
But I still wonder how I got it to work in the past without adjusting that cause im sure I didn't do that in the past and it worked

Anyway its working.

Hi!

I know you can have some background mp3 music playing with CFG but is there any way to play mp3 while playing games ?

And maybe disable game sound?

If so let me know how.

If not that's gonna be something to add to my X-mas list

Configurable is not yet able to recognize the IOS base for 249 rev21...
Just wait for the Configurable v63a....

I used the guide from for setting up a 1TB WD Passport. I already had a 500 gig , but wanted a WD Passport. My 500 gig was formatted for WBFS, but it was pointed out I could save space by going Fat. I did so and updated to CFG USB Loader v.60.....but the loader keep saying it wants to to a WBFS partition. It does recognize the Fat partition, but won't recognize the games on there. What am I doing wrong?

had the same problem where cfg was not detecting .iso files but just download WiiBackupManager and convert them into a .wbfs extension with 2g split very easy then you just drop that onto your usb drive.

A very well done program!
I have a suggestion that I thought from the first day that I began to use the program.Whem u press '1' you enter in the game options and u see the game's cover and if u press '1' again u enter in the global options but the game's cover is there and i think that this is a bit confusing.I think that you must show in the global options a image of the USB CFG Loader for example but not the cover of a concrete game.

Thx
