The last time I heard anything about a WBFS partition, the max was 500 GB. If you want to WBFS the whole thing (which for the average person 1TB is waaay more than enough) then you would need to do 2 partitions

i just softmodded my friend's wii and noticed that on his external hd, not all of the games are showing up in cfg usb loader. all the same games which are on my hd show up. both drives use fat32 partitions. my friends drive is a wd 2.5" passport 500gb, my hd is a 3.5" ide wd caviar 250gb in a usb enclosure. what could be the problem? what additional info should i provide to elaborate on the problem?

That's what I thought. Thanks for your reply. I'll just use my 500GB drive instead.

I was asking about 1TB beacause I already filled up a 320GB.

What's the best tool that everybody is using for partitions?

Wrong Information
WBFS can do any size of drive .. its the amount of games that u can store to a WBFS that is the Capper .. 500 games per WBDS HDD.. Note there is a way to pass this but its not as easy as point and click and not many Loaders iv seen support this ..

so if u have 500 games and each game is 2gb think about that amount of space u need >>
but it just so happens that alot of Wii games are only under 1gb so u will have no problem with a say a Fat32 partion at 30gb to hold all your Pics app and so on for HBC and for the loader your using .. and then the rest of your HDD formated to WBFS ..

He's right, the very first USB loader I used required WBFS format and was only able to format up to 500GB back then. I see WBFS manager tools now can do at least up to 1TB. I believe 512 is the max game limit.

But have another question, can other wii homebrew access your fat partition on usb fine?
Are you able to run apps from it in HBC and access it with wiixplorer for example?
Because judging from libfat source, even other wii homebrew apps might have trouble accessing it.

I am able to access FAT partition through WiiXplorer with no troubles.

QUOTE(oggzee @ Oct 16 2010, 01:27 AM) Yakult:

Please try this:
http://cfg-loader.googlecode.com/files/cfg60t1.dol
And let me know if it fixes your problem.

Also, anyone that has a RAW partition, please try thins and let me know if it still works.

Now it is working perfectly again. Thanks!

Ah, right that problem, i almost forgot about that.
I'd really like to see this fixed, but at the moment i still have no idea what could be wrong.
Can I ask you to do some more tests:

1. can you produce the gamelist.txt file, by going into global options and then pressing 2 to save options.
That is, press button 1 two times and then press button 2.
The file is saved to: /usb-loader/gamelist.txt
Please send me that file either by posting it somewhere or by email: oggzee at gmail.
Oh and send me also the saved settings.cfg and config.txt

2. can you remove (or rename) /usb-loader directory, so that the program will run completely with builtin defaults.
does that help?

3. Can you try going to an even older version for example v34:
http://cfg-loader.googlecode.com/files/cfg34.dol
You can find all the versions here:
http://code.google.com/p/cfg-loader/downloads/list
does it show properly?

Let me know these things and we'll see how to proceed.

Deleteting sd://usb-loader doesn't help ...

Fireing up 0.34 ... console display OK !!! (!!) ...8)

+ comment : Fire up 0.60 without powering up the HD (and getting information from HD) doesn't help ... so don't think its a bad wbfs nameing or something like that ...

Maybe it was a game that you installed not the update.
Try versions 40, 45...

Is there any program that will automatically rename my iso's so that configurable usb loader will recognize them?
hard drive is formatted to ntfs if that matters.

I have tried to reproduce the problem by loading your gamelist and using that as the list of games, but it displays fine, so i guess the naming of the games is not the issue.
Let me know if you manage to find which is the last working version.

Hi oggzee ... very hard to analyse ... i did test nearly all versions ...

but ... what MUST be displayed in every version ?

Is there the "counting" of seconds when no hard disc present in every version ? Or a banner telling something without pressing any button.

even in 0.34 there is a black screen on console mode ... after pressing A it tells me something about WBFS in correct letters ... but i think there should be some text without pressing A ... or i'm wrong here ... ?
