Um, please don't make "Network Initialization" the default at program startup, please. Not everyone uses the gamertag feature or even the network for that matter, adding anything "fancy" at startup would only slow down the process for everybody. If someone wants that at their startup, just configure it so it's like that. As for the default, I think it's preferable to keep it as clean as possible.

First you should update to the latest configurable usb loader r59a and install cIOS249 v20 with IOS56 base. You also could update the homebrew channel and install IOS58.

should I update HBC through HBC or through the Hackmii Installer, also I'm still using cIOS222 rev4, is that OK? thanks
Install IOS58 first and then update the HBC trough the hackmii installer. Use cIOS222 v4 for now, that's OK.

ok, need some more help here, when I'm installing cIOS249 v20, 1st screen has "select IOS version to use during installation", which IOS version? the 2nd screen has "select base IOS version", which would be IOS56, the 3rd screen has "select custom IOS installation slot", which IOS? thanks

The first choice is what to use during installation. Use any IOS that has the Trucha bug (pretty much any cIOS). The second step is your base, correct. The third choice is which slot to install to. Cfg will support anything in the 247-250 range, and there is virtually no difference where you install it, but 249 is probably easiest.

I've been having some problems loading Red Steel 2. It loads, but my controller disconnects, and the games goes to black screen. Do I need and alt .dol? I'm on CFG 58. I just updated to SM 4.2 today using the stickied guide, so I'm not sure what cioses I'm running yet. I'm about to update to v20. Anything else I need to know?

Play the game once from the disc to watch the Wii MotionPlus video and then the game should work fine with default settings in Cfg from then on.

Not to worry it will never be enabled by default. If we do it it will be optional and in the background as it was already suggested before. However it's a low priority thing, not likely to happen soon.

I've fixed my problem which:
led me to another!
hate2.gif
It says I have a ID mismatch. Trying to rename It makes the game dissappear completely.
Maybe because of my .iso file? My game I'm launching Is PDC Darts Championship 2008.

Hi, Is there a way to tweak conf usb loader to increase the 30 second wait for a usb device to 75 seconds?
My usb HDD takes about 60 to 70 seconds to show up when I plug it in to my pc. Cfg usb ldr doesnt seem to find it within 30 seconds. I'm thinking the increased time might help for a positive result.

Many Thanks.

You try to plug your HDD in Wii and wait some time to before open the CFG? Sometimes this help...

Is there a way to jump back to HBC when pressing Home instead of the wii system menu?
Adding "home=exit" to config.txt will make the Home feature return to the launcher (Cfg if you started it from there). Adding "home=hbc" instead will make Cfg launch the HBC when you push Home, even if Cfg wasn't launched from there (in case you used Priiloader, a forwarder or the return_to_channel feature to get to Cfg).

how about after playing a game to make it go back the to Configurable Loader instead of the Wii system menu?

That's the return_to_channel feature. First, you need to install a forwarder channel, e.g., this one. Then add "return_to_channel = XXXX" to config.txt where XXXX is the 4 character ID of the forwarder channel (DCFG for the one I linked).

Use a different IOS to install the WAD.

thank you, a different IOS installed the Wad, also, Wad Manager version 1.7 installs the Wad as well using IOS249

Dr. Clipper how do I change the new type of sorting games? I want to return to the classic alphabetical sorting instead of the last played game.

I hava a question about the WiinerTag: do I need to add the 2 lines in config.txt like this:

gamercard_url = http://www.wiinnertag.com/wiinnertag_scrip...p;game_id={ID6}
gamercard_key = (Userkey here)

Or like this (with the # for the line and a space between the # and the line):

# gamercard_url = http://www.wiinnertag.com/wiinnertag_scrip...p;game_id={ID6}
# gamercard_key = (Userkey here)

I don't know which one to take. My CFG Loader is V58

Thanks!

Also, I had no config.txt so I just made one and put these 2 lines in it and put the .txt in de usb-loader folder in the root of my SD.

The sort should be alphabetical already by default, but if you are saying you want it to also select the first game in the alphabetical list, then you want to use "select=start".

Without hashes. And you are best off leaving out the gamercard_url option as it is already correct in the default value. It seems like the one you were trying to put there was wrong too, as part of it is missing (where the ellipsis is, which you probably copied out of oggzee's post that was automatically shortened by the forum code).

sd:/usb-loader is a good place for config.txt, yes.
