wait,... the forwarders doesn't add any additional intro screen while loading, so the only thing that could be changed is the fullscreen image of the forwarder (the banner) that is visible in the system menu, but i'm not sure how would that look?

When you load one of the "TroyTheZombie Forwarder Channels" then it gives you a splash screen that says: "Now Loading..." with background and a Wii/Nintendo Icon. It looks great!

Or something like that?

very nice loader!

is there a way to hide the black and with prompt window saying "launching wii game?"

and maybe show the disc image (that i cant find nowere)

^ yes thats what i want also.

i mean when you highlight the game cover and you press A. the game title below will be change to "now loading" then it will automatically start the game. it will no more go to the "booting wii game" screen.

Just wanted to add this info to the thread.

It relates to a Seagate FreeAgent Go Drive 320gb. I could not get the drive to recognize after following all instructions.

The thing that got it to work was running IOS222, once I updated to that, it worked instantly. Hopefully this will help someone else out. I spent way too many hours formatting back and forth.

Machine is a 3.3u, cIOS38rev12 /HBC/BootMii/BUL Gamma V.3.

oggzee, is there a way to make the cover you are currently hovering over larger? IE you are in flow mode... and you hover over the different covers, and they zoom in a small amount... is there a way to adjust how much they zoom in?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, there isn't such an option.

CFGloader is the best/my favorite usb-loader, thank you for all your hard work=)
that being said.., i dunno if itd be a huge task, but it would be awesome to have coverflow mode zoom-in on the front covers as much as it does for the back covers, or maybe an option to flip between front and back while the selected game is being viewed

I just want to say thanks to oggzee, usptactical and all the people involved in this project, to create this amazing loader. On other thoughts, I think I just found a bug, but not too sure if it is or not.
Anyways, here is what happened, I ran the loader, but never loader any game and then turn it off using the wiimote. Everything seems fine until I turn the HDD off, that's when the wii start flashing every 5 seconds or so. As if it was searching for the HDD. If some one can confirm this, it would be great.
Thanks!!!!

Are we likely to see support in cfg loader for the new higher quality fullcovers format of 1024x680 on WiiTDB ???

It already supports it to some degree. Set the following options in config.txt:

CODEcover_url_full =
cover_url_full =+ http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/coverfullHQ/{CC}/{ID6}.png
cover_url_full =+ http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/coverfull/{CC}/{ID6}.png
cover_url_full =+ http://wiicover.gateflorida.com/sites/default/files/cover/Full%20Cover/{ID6}.png
cover_url_full =+ http://www.muntrue.nl/covers/ALL/512/340/fullcover/{ID6}.png

And it will default to the HQ covers if one exists, followed by the full and then the other sites.

Sounds nice, I think we'll do that at some point.

I would guess the flashing is because there are updates available from nintendo.
Do you have Connect24 enabled?

Yes, I think if available, the HQ full covers will already be used, but I also think that at the moment internally they are down-scaled back to 512x340. This will be addressed soon i think. But it really depends on usptactical.

I do have connect24 but it wasn't from an update. I have tested at least ten times with the same result, so I pretty sure that is not an update warning of any kind.

It might also just be a freind sending you a message. If it's the disc slot which is flashing, it almost certainly is. Go to the Wii message board and sit there for about a minute, and if there is a message waiting for you, it should appear.

In fact, it's probably just the Today and Tomorrow Channel availability announcement.

That is what I thought too, but it is not. I have checked the message board, but nothing was there. The interesting thing is that it only does that when using cfg loader. I have tried the homebrew channel and every other channels that came with the wii, but none seems to act that way. It is not a big deal to me, but it would be interesting to know how this can be fixed, if possible at all.

Nintendo Channel just got an update, maybe that was it? It has gotten a brand new GUI/look/feel to it.

EDIT:
Tested starting CFG Loader, and turning it off (shutting down to Homebrew Channel?) and turning off the HDD, no Wiislot flashes at all.

I got a problem at first my ext.-hdd (freecom 400GB) workt perfect but, after 2 days i get a error after the time out 30 seconds ERROR! (ret = -1). How is this possible it workt perfect. Can some one help me

Mad-jack

Narolez was kind enough to get the usb forwarding function into my hybrid channel, but I do not have any USB devices available to test. I threw together a version of the hybrid channel containing v42-222 (special Hermes ios222 version) for someone to test. I have already tested the channel with an SD and it forwards as it used to of course...and without the SD it'll load the internal v42-222 dol. But, can someone test the USB forwarding as well and let me know how it is working? You'll of course need cIOS222 installed to use it because this version requires it. If all works well, I will be releasing separate hybrid channels with both the special 222 version and the standard cios249 version when v43 final is released.

Please test:

zektor: sounds good.
btw, you could use a USB thumb drive, or usb key or whatever they are called to test usb/fat....
