Oggzee, what are you thinking about a webchat for USBLoaderCFG?

Try this: < http://webchat.quakenet.org/?channels=USBLoaderCFG >

How feasible would it be to add an entry for playing games from the disc? It would certainly be nice to launch backups and legit games from the same place. If instead of downloading a cover off the web, it uses the same picture that the disc channel would use, it would display even on Wiis without internet access, as well as provide an easy visible distinction from the games that are stored on the HDD (unless you're displaying as discs instead of covers).

If it's not feasible, or if it simply doesn't fit into your vision of what CFG Loader is, sorry to have wasted your time with this post.

I suppose it would be neat if the current game inserted into your Wii (either legit or backup) also popped up onto the GUI, but honestly I've either already ripped that game to the HDD so I don't have to wear down the laser or switch discs or if I was planning on playing it, the 5 second hassle to return to the menu screen isn't that bad. Just my 2 cents though!!

The main reason I ask for this is for Metroid Prime: Trilogy, which frankly works better from disc than from USB loaders, and for those few IOS reloading games that aren't working right in any reloader.

CFG r42a or 42b is freezing 50% of the time for me. it happen when I click one game with the simple = 1 option. it tries to load the game then freeze....

I'm using cios rev 13a because I want to play smash bros and metroid trilogy. my wii is 4.1U.

This is almost certainly the well known rev13 reset bug. You can't use the "Wii Menu" button in the Home screen or it will crash next time you start a game. Choose "Reset" on the home screen instead, or hold down the Power button on the Wii remote to restart the console and it will work every time.

Hi I was wondering when you download a update could you also include the change log as well? I'm requesting this because I normally don't visit these forums and when I do I don't like searching through the forums for the change log.

A short version of the change log is listed when you select a version in the update menu. The change log is also updated in the first post of the thread whenever a new full version is released.

I know what you mean but sometimes when you release a beta(I always download the latest beta btw) you include somethings that the short change log doesn't mention. For example when you released the anti aliasing beta update(it was a beta I think? 42b or a?) I didn't know how to turn it off until I came here and I searched a few pages back.

I do come here when you guys release a new stable version but like I said I always download the betas. It's understandable though if you cannot or do not want to include a small txt file in each download. It's just a small request.

Heh, don't take my words as policy. I've got nothing to do with the releases, I'm just a big fan that like to help answer questions. I'm actually surprised oggzee hasn't updated the op with 42a and b. He usually does it with about every other alpha/beta release, so its pretty strange not to have it after three of them.

I don't intend to complicate the update procedure further.
However I agree that it would be useful to quickly see the readme, I would prefer to have an external page, and link to that in the first post, but I haven't found the right site for that yet. Here is the latest readme on pastebin.com:
http://pastebin.com/f34611111
however it doesn't allow me to edit the content on the same link, which makes it unsuitable for the task.
Does anyone know a better one? It has to show the content, not make it downloadable and I want to edit the content on the same link, and the formatting has to be with a fixed width font.

Thanks so much oggzee. This is exactly what I need and I'm sure a lot of users will thank you for this.

I think you might like google docs. I just created a new text file, selected fixed width and I even pasted your readme. This link will work even after you've changed the file itself. It's also friendly to the eyes.

*EDIT* Just a quick edit you can also view the file like any other txt file(including the fixed width) here

cfg v42b2 (beta2)

http://sharebee.com/9fe6e334
(or online update)

* Fixed coverflow antialiasing in PAL 576i (50Hz) mode
* Fixed occasional flashing in options screen
* Intro screen (thanks to Milcoi)

I can't see the Intro screen. I just see some distorted graphic flash once (about half a second).

Yes, looks good, ok here it is:

will add a link to 1st post.

2 new feature requests. Thank you, as always, for your always earnest consideration!

Guitar control. The guitar can control the system menu and game menus, but you have to stop, get a differnt remote, sync it, and use the limited navigation of player 2 to launch, then go back to your hatchet.

The ability to skip A, An and The when sorting titles.

I bet the first is impossible unless you've got a guitar controller, the second might be easy?

You can still use the Wii remote while it's in the guitar. I play GH5 and the rest of the GH games all the time. I use the stick on the guitar in the Wii Menu to launch my USB CFG forwarder Channel then I use the D-Pad to select my game and A to start and never have to take the controller out. The only time I would is if I had to use the back button so I have to take the back panel off to hit B, but I usually don't have to hit back.

42b2

Loading splash screen shows for about a minute (nice image BTW) and then it says loading usb and each number that used to show onscreen taking a second takes about 20 seconds to tick over.

I have typed this post and it is still showing 6

Hello.....Can someone help me out here? I tried to lock out all the option using config.txt, but somehow it is not working.

Here is my config.txt

# USBLoader config
# lines starting with # are comments
# see README-CFG.txt for help on options

# background = background.png
# wbackground = background_wide.png
# layout = large3
# covers = 1

# hide uLoader CFG entry
hide_game = __CF

# theme
theme = NXE Blue Aura

# gui
gui = start
gui_transition = fade
gui_style = coverflow3d
gui_rows = 1

# device
device = usb

simple = 1, 0
confirm_start = 0, 1
disable_remove = 0,1
disable_install = 0,1
disable_options = 0,1
disable_format = 0,1

Can someone point me to the right direction?
