This gives me another idea. Why not have the boxart download URL configurable? If not in the global options, at least a url line added to the .cfg file. This way we could just adjust the URL should it ever change again.

BTW: Sorry for all of the ideas I have been throwing out

The URL has been configurable since v20, Search for cover_url in README-CFG.

Edit: For those confused by the syntax, I believe adding the below lines at the end of your config file (so other things don't undo it) will work:

For flat covers:
cover_url_norm = http://www.wiiboxart.com/{REGION}/{ID6}.png
cover_url_wide = http://www.wiiboxart.com/widescreen/{REGION}/{ID6}.png

For 3D covers:
cover_url= http://www.wiiboxart.com/3d/{WIDTH}/{HEIGHT}/{ID6}.png

For discs (not fully sure on this one):
cover_url= http://www.wiiboxart.com/diskart/{WIDTH}/{HEIGHT}/{ID3}.png

The way I've understood it, you have to PAY to download covers now. (I could be wrong, but that's how I understood it)

I had to go to extremes to be able to download covers yesterday even from my computer.

I don't have any problems getting covers, so I think you are wrong

The way I understand it is that they want people to pay to get zip-files with all covers while single cover download (manually or from loader) is free.

Define extremes ?

All covers are free on the site still.

If you want to mass download covers in a zip , you need a members username and pass
If you want to get them using your wii, once the coders change the system , if they so choose , you need a members username and pass

If you want to download covers one by one at any size directly from the website , all still free and no membership required

So, to download the covers from wii, membership is required? Sorry I wasn't following the covers changes, do you have some info for the developers somewhere, what needs to be changed, couldn't find it in the FAQ.

The only files I can get is cover + widescreen, downloading anything else from your cover site using IE7/FF3 gives me png files at 307 bytes or a little more, the disc, 3d coverand fullcovers is not possible to "drag and drop" or right click "save as" from FF tab to a folder on the computer.

I had to download and install plugin in FF 3 to be able to download the disc, 3d cover and fullcover 1 by one, using DownloadThemAll!

I just tried again before i wrote this to be sure.
 
In any case, downloading 3D covers via the Wii using the config option I gave earlier is fine for now. I downloaded all my covers again just to check.

i have put this at the end of my config:
http://www.wiiboxart.com/3d/%7BWIDTH%7D/%7...D/%7BID6%7D.png

when i try to download a cover it ends up beeing http://www.wiiboxart.com/3d/130/225/RXXX.png which can not be resolved (where XXX is the proper code ofc)
so no...that method aint working for me -.-

another thing, i read in the feature list that this one has parental guidance ? can someone help me to find it please....dont think my 6 year old son needs to play Resident Evil etc ^^

it works woohoo....now i just need to fing the parental stuff and i can die happy!

About parental stuff, you can hide games using the option:

hide_game = ID

and disable add/remove/options with:

simple = 1

You will probably also want to create 2 different configs one for kids and one (admin) for you... see the README-CFG.txt how can this be setup.
 
OK, I am somewhat new to using this loader. I have used version 32 and now I changed to 33 and can't download global missing covers.

Is a new release coming soon or do I need to use this URL?

Great USB Loader. This is the third one I have tried and by far the best.
