https://gbatemp.net/threads/cfg-usb-loader-70r78-12-released.660381/

Changelog:
Internals - changed online update URL paths
GC - updated nintendont config support to version 0x0000000A

With this new version it's possible to play online on Wiimmfi private servers again.

As was the case with the original build, this one has a default/249 version and a 222 version. You must have grabbed the wrong one

Thanks.
Although I face an issue when tried to download images for games.
It give error but unfortunately I did not have time to take a pic of it.
Also, I can not figure how to create config.txt file because if I create it based on sample file, it just do not read it.
How it should look like with a setting to load covers images from usb hdd (ntfs format) ?

is your wii connected to the net to download the images?

your images should be located like the example below:
SD or USB: // usb-loader (folder) // covers // 3D, 2D, disc, full <=== HERE .

with the NTFS format, I don't really know!!! :unsure:

Yes, it is conected to the net.
I did a less time consuming way: Downloaded all required images from backup manager and then put it on my sd card.
Speaking truth I do not have so much time doing config.txt, although I tried again before writng this reply, and still no success.
It just can not read config.txt and do not see created usb-loader directory and files in it in defined folders by config.txt
I just need and ready and working config.txt to see how it looks like and I can make my own based on that (read game images from hdd instead of sd card).

Iirc there are a few dif config locations, there's a config txt, I think also a global config txt, maybe the meta has some setting overrides also. So be aware of that and check the usb-loader folder as well is the apps folder for conflicting configs

Thanks for sharing.
I know for sample_configuration.txt and I tried it as a first solution, modiyfing it in order to read from usb:

covers_path = usb:/usb-loader/covers
covers_path_2d = usb:/usb-loader/covers/2d
covers_path_3d = usb:/usb-loader/covers/3d
covers_path_disc = usb:/usb-loader/covers/disc
covers_path_full = usb:/usb-loader/covers/full

But it just couldn't read folder path I set :( and I got stuck there.

It works without a problem on a sdcard.

I am wondering if I should copy ALL the content of usb-loader to hdd so it could "simulate" working folder , or just not ?

OK, I managed (somehow) to make config.txt with configurator.
What I get in cfg usb loader is the same situation but now i took a picture of debug.
It could be seen that path to covers is set BUT it just can not read them.
Also with this settings I tried to download images and once again I managed to reproduce the first error that was mentioned couple of messages before.
So, I suppose there is a bug or a feature in cfg usb loader. :)

OK, I am a little bit confused.
Should setting path be with one 'slash' or two 'slashs' like you wrote ?

Do you have usb-loader folder installed on both SD and USB? If you do, this is most likely causing your issue.

I think you want your setup with CFG installed in SD:/apps/USBLoader and your games and image art on USB correct?

If you have the usb-loader folder on your SD card and USB, i believe by default SD:/usb-loader config.txt will be used. It could very well be having this folder installed on both SD and USB is causing conflict.

Yes, I have both folders on sd and usb hdd. On hdd there is nothing but usb-loader folder and images in it and wfbs folder with games. No other files.

Try backing up your usb-loader folder on SD to your computer first, then transfer all those files to your HDD usb-loader folder. Now completely remove that folder from SD.

I think maybe this will fix your issue, hopefully:)

I'll try these days and post a feedback.
Also, I suppose folder that has to be removed is the one on root of my sd card, not the one in app folder, righ ?

Noticed an update in 2024. I'd love to see the video patching be updated to what USB Loader GX has. Specifically video region patching.

Is there a log for errors?
The cios 222 loads, but the 249 one doesn't.

But I'm getting disc error when trying to boot a game.
