Unfortunately yes, even those NTSC games that were working perfectly with older revisions of cfg, like Burnout 2, Die Hard Vendetta , etc, give a red screen with beta9. I forgot to add that i still use DM 2.0, cause 2.2 broke compatibility with some games. I have however set the global options to DM 1.2+.

It's οk though, i boot them via DML channel now, so no harm done really.
NAND savegames are a headache however...

Would you please tell me which "older version of CFG" worked no problem for you ?
I changed my Wii setting from NTSC to PAL and used beta9+DM2.2 to try
" Die Hard Vendetta" (GDIE7D). It works no problem for me with either default
video mode settings or Force PAL or Force PAL 60.

So far only ULGX and Wiiflow support Emu. NAND savegames.........

Sure, beta7 was/is working great.
I upgraded to beta9 to use NMM for devolution, because it kept finding my official MC1019 as corrupt.
Maybe it is the fact that i still use DM2.0 and not 2.2.

So far only ULGX and Wiiflow support Emu. NAND savegames.........
hmmm, ok i'll look up to those...
IIRC, i had tried gx in the past but IMHO cfg is much faster and stable, with a better gui.

Sincere thanks, once again for the helpful reply :yaywii:

Hello everyone, I am new to modding wii (kind of). I modded mine a while ago and now I am trying to play Kirby but I don't understand how to make it work. I finally stumbled upon
c204.gif
Pimp My Wii and it downloaded any new IOS that I needed and updated them, so Kirby at least got started for me. But now I keep having to talk to Magolor and it keeps freezing in the same spot (while talking to him). I see people keep talking about games normally playing off of IOS249, but my games normally play off of 224mload (cfg loader 70) Any help is greatly appreciated, I am sure I am on the right track but I need some light my way :) ty my email is [email protected] and my name is Ray. Just in case my email will not display correctly since I am new, here it is again jstrayy at gmail dot come thank you guys, I am going crazy :'(

2.Improved video compatibility of GC games.

3. Added "LED" (default is off) to individual Wii game options
(GUI mode)

Find your config.txt file

It should be located at

X:\usb-loader\config.txt

X= Letter of your hard drive

Now open the config.txt file and add the following to it and then save it

return_to_channel = auto

Thanks for that,it worked :)

No problem

I believe that the return to feature works like this

It will return to whatever method you used to lauch CFG.

So if you launch CFG with a forwarder channel then it will return you to CFG loader when exiting a game but if you launched CFG through the HBC then when you exit a game it will return you to the HBC.

Would it be possible to add a global wide screen "flip switch"? The idea would be if it is turned on to enable it for all games that support it and all GC titles that have the wide screen option on. But, when the global switch is off, all games would play in 4:3. I ask this because I often switch between using a 4:3 SDTV and a 16:9 projector.

Would it also be possible to have a "flip switch" to change the sensor bar position?

so.. how do i "show" both GC and wii games in cfg usb loader without switching partitions?
There are 2 alternatives:

1. Put all GC/Wii games in the same partition (FAT32)
2. Put GC games in the 1st partition (FAT32), Wii games in the 2nd partition (FAT32,NTFS.....)
Then set your default partition to the 2nd in global setting.

Tried this release... But having problems...

The default game cases seem to be Japannes... No biggie there... But It asks if I want to use SD/SDHC or USB Device each time I start the loader... Then it seems to think it already has a Admin Lock: On (Although I've never set one up so I can't changed it since I don't know it)... It also doesn't create a USB-Loader folder in root either like all the other ones have done before.... And if I ever try to update anything it says it fails because of no SD although in the settings I have USB / Fat1 choosen....

i have it like number 2.
all my wii games in the second partition (ntfs) and my GC in the gc folder in the first partition (fat32) i still have to switch partitions whenever i want to GC or Wii games. i cant get them to display together.

also, how do i change this into console instead of the fancy GUI?

Just got GC via USB working, played a little Wind Waker and F-Zero GX! I'm pumped, never thought it would actually be possible to run GC games from USB.

I'm using a WD 250GB USB 2 drive.

A couple or questions though.

Is it possible to filter out Gamecube games in CFG?

And is it possible to return to CFG from the GC game instead of having the whole system reload?

Cheers!

Sure, it's because the game has detection of the main.dol and if it's modified that's where the anti-piracy measure kicks in all loaders usb/disc modify the main.dol in memory to run the game

I love this loader, i play wii games on it, but.. can i play gamecube games on it? what file format do they have to be? .iso?, and can i play them from a burnt DVD-R?
please help, i would love to play gc games!
thanks in advance

I am not sure if any of you have ever tried to use CFG mod to play
a multi-disc GC game. (so far only "devolution" can support this)

Here is the instruction to use CFG mod r37 beta10 (currently only this version
of CFG works) to play a multi-disc GC game.

1. Make sure to put "loader.bin" of devolution to \usb-loader\ folder.

2. Rename ISO file of disc2 to gam2.iso and put in the same folder as disc1.
(EX: usb:\games\whatever folder name\ )
It means you only can see disc1 (game.iso) shows in the game list.
(so there are game.iso and gam2.iso in the game folder)

3. Load/Start disc1 and when disc2 is required (like this picture below),
just simply click on "Eject button". Then the disc2 iso file should be loaded
automatically.

** Excuse me for these "Japanese" because I don't have other
multi-disc GC games.
