do i have to update to rev14? if i update, will i be able to play MPTrilogy and SSBB through USB? (i head DL games have problems on rev14)

or should i update to rev15?

Another "problem": could the file title.txt be upgraded incrementally? I have two HD and I presume that updating the titles of the second HD overwrites the titles of the first one...

Thanks Oggzee for the best loader available...
I don't understand the point. titles.txt is simply located in the base folder. That is the file which is being updated. It will only update on whatever drive or SD card you are using to launch the loader.

The point is that I have (and other users may have) two HD with different games in them....
If I update the titles.txt file for the games in the first HD that very file is unuseful for the games in the second HD...
An incremental update means that in one only title.txt file are merged the entries for both the games in the first HD and the games in the second HD...
I hope it is more clear now...

Thanks again for your job...

The titles.txt downloaded from wiitdb.com contains the titles for all known games (around 2000 of them).

Is it possible to split a title ? For example Night at the museum: Battle of the smithsonian the video game That's how it comes in the titles.txt But is way to much to be in the screen. So what i mean is something like,
Night at the museum: Battle of the smithsonian the video game
goes into
Night at the museum:
Battle of the smithsonian the video game
Then at least it fits, i already tried a different font and a smaller font but to get that nicely done it goes way to small.

Just change the entry in your titles file to ... Night at the museum 2 , or better still bin that game

That's crap because with every txt update you have to change the game titles. A line brake would be much easier or at Wiitdb they should think about that.
Don't know how it looks on a lcd but on a normal widescreen tv it just doesn't fit without making the font idiotic small.

Bit of an issue here with Naruto Shippuden Clash of Ninja Revolution 3. When I use FAT32 the music skips yet with the same drive formatted in WBFS it's fine. Just curious if this is a known issue or not or if it's just me. If any needs specifics on what I'm using I can give them.

Looks like i need to make some more optimizations

If you have a bit of spare time, I have a really weird suggestion you could try, although I doubt it would work. Defrag the drive.

Hmm i think don't bother, i'm starting to suspect the problem lies in file seek time which needs optimizing. When i did the initial benchmarking i only tested sequential access and that showed about the same speed on fat as on wbfs, but i think random access will be slower, so it depends on the usage pattern that a game has, if it does read a lot of stuff from different locations it will probably be slower. I will try to measure that up and see what i get.

How do I enable the profiles?
I added "profile_names = [default]" to the config and it appears in the loader options
- but I can't seem to be able to add or delete or reorder any others...
Thx
To add profiles, you list them there, e.g.:

profile_names = profile1, profile2, sports

I've added the names just as said e.g

profile_names = [Default], Racing, Sports, Platform
profile = Racing

It shows up in global options as
profiles 1/1 [Default] (13)

how do I get it to recognize the other listed profiles?

Thanks

Great loader! You can do virtually everything via network (i.e. updates and cover downloads) and GUI looks fantastic. Build quality seems reminiscent of the XBMC but still has some progress to make.

Was wondering the samething TinyBilbo. I think I added the line to some file on my SD card/FAT partition (USB), nada.

Don't use the square brackets. Those indicate what the value of the option would be if you don't specify anything. It's likely confusing the loader. I strongly suggest you try using the latest version of the Configurator to edit your config.txt instead.

profile_names = Racing, Sports, Platform
profile = Racing

is likely what you want.

Edit:
One nice thing about the Configurator is you can use it to manage with profiles the games will appear as profiles in. Instructions follow:

1. Connect SD card/drive to PC
2. Load existing config.txt from the base directory.
3. It will find your theme.txt if you use one. Answer yes to load it.
4. It will find your settings.cfg file too. Answer yes to load it.
5. Add your new profile names on Global Options page 3.
6. Go to the Game Settings tab and load gamelist.txt
7. Choose to add all named games to settings list
8. Look through your games and choose which profiles they belong to by clicking the check boxes
9. Choose to "Install all files"
10. Choose to "Install all files to base directory"
11. Put SD card/drive back into Wii and enjoy.
