Okay...my new question, then, is: should I switch everything back to Yeah? Or just leave it be. The sentence still makes sense, but maybe, it wouldn't flow with the other dialogues? Idk.

@Rozenheim, could you post the link to the file(s) you have in question? I'll have to take a look.
Or if you know where that part will appear in the game, and if it's not too difficult to test it in the game, you can try playing that part to see how the girl actually says it, and whether it sounds okay with the speech.

is it just my idea or one of the songs playing in the background when you enter the game for one of the girls has gone a few tones down after the new patch?!
it's like the song is playing in a different speed but only just this one song>____

Holy, it's sure gone from being annoying to understand after confession in 0.2 to Manaka being mostly as far as I've seen right now, enjoyable.
I'll take a crack at some editing soon.

There's a few lines in Script 21 for Manaka that refer to "power", and I was wondering what that meant. Rozenheim couldn't figure it out either apparently.

    Edit: =O
Welcome back. We have so many people interested in helping edit now. I wish I weren't slowing down due to class so much.

@OceanBlue & Rozenheim, Manaka is talking about love and she mentions that love has ??????
(???/sugoi = amazing/great/wonderful, and ??? is an English word "power" spelled with Japanese characters.)

Then she asks you whether you have enough power. You say you do, and you ask her the same question. She then holds your hand and says that she now has the power from you.

I'm not sure how to make it sound less confusing. [IMG] Manaka will actually say the word "power" in the speech (although it might sound more like "pawaa"), but I think it won't affect anything if you change it to a different word that might go better with the translation.

I'm trying to update some of the edited scripts. Some of them might be changed to read-only later.

By the way, sometimes when different lines say the same thing, try to edit them to be the same.

For example, if line 3 and line 8 say "I have to go." Sometimes, only line 8 got edited to "I should go." and line 3 remains as "I have to go." In this case, if you want to use "I should go," you should change line 3 too.

(I know it sounds better if you vary the words you use, but this game's system reuse the lines quite often. So if you see sentences in the same file that say the same thing, it's likely that they are the same sentence and you have to keep them all the same.)

    ++++++++++

Also, it's NOT necessary to keep the Japanese punctuations. Make sure the translation looks correct with English grammar/ punctuations. We don't need to use all the commas, question marks, etc. that were in the Japanese sentence in the English translation.

If we keep all the Japanese punctuations, the English translation will be quite incorrect. (Ex. "It's, wonderful." or "I'll be, going." I'm not very good at English but I don't think we should use commas like that in English sentences.)

That depends on the context. When we talk we do make little stops. These stops emphasize a feeling such as surprise, fear, ignorance, discontent... and "It's, wonderful" could be that if she need to do that stop in order to emphasize a feeling, then that line is right even if in normal written english that comma is not used.

At the end, I'm going to just follow what you said. However, I want to put this in order to it to get clear. Thank you for the advice.

In case of some pauses in the sentence, we can use ... instead. Ex. "It's... wonderful." It will look consistent with the other parts of the translation too. [IMG]

I noticed that in pre-confession with Nene she gives you a cough drop. I'm just wondering if the original translation for it was lozenge, because in the context it'd be more likely she'd give you a candy instead of a cough drop.
    Just makes more sense.

I think he meant the commas and such. We usually keep the !, ? and such, or we would add some as well, because since not all the dialogues are translated 100% correctly, becuz it would sound ugly in English.

I still wonder why a loveplus+ patch hasn't been made since the anti piracy patch was already made and the girls no longer get stuck in pre-confession

and also if anyone is interested in 3ds version for usa here is a petition we need 1000 or so (sorry if this breaks the gbatempt rules)

    http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/newloveplusinamerica

and keep up the great work if it wasn't for this patch I would of never understood this

@IAmTheRad, from what I researched, cough drop and lozenge are pretty much the same thing, so I chose cough drop as it's easier to understand. Anyway, correct me if I'm wrong.

For editors: Be careful and always double-check each script once you're done. There's no rush. [IMG]
