From what I can find online, it seems as if the deletion bug has been corrected in WBFS for MacOS X v1.2 and also in Waninko's SD/USB Loader v1.5. However, I can't seem to delete files off my WBFS volume. In WBFS for MacOSX, the Delete Game button is greyed out and on SD/USB Loader, I hit the - button and the title disappears from the list, but when I restart and load the drive up, the game is still there. Any ideas?

Also, when I rename an ISO in WBFS for MacOSX, the changes don't appear to stick. I think I read something about this earlier in the thread, but can't seem to locate it again. Thanks!

OS X 10.5.7 - Intel Mac

I have an external USB enclosure with 2 partitions, one FAT32 and another WBFS (formatted by USB Loader 1.5). Sometimes when I open WBFS 1.2, it will just hang with the spinning bleach ball when it is scanning for the drive. I try to force quit and the windows goes away, but it shows as still running in the Dock. I can't even force quit it in Activity Monitor. I have to hold down the power button to force a shutdown too.

I have been able to mount the WBFS partition before.

Hey guys, I'm trying to format my drive as WBFS on OS X 10.5.7 and I'm having some problems with the Terminal stuff.

Thats as far as I got. The disk was formatted as FAT before and I knew this was bad, but tried WBFS anyway. Terminal just hung after I hit enter on the command to format. I couldn't access it as if it were doing something, but I waited a long time and nothing changed.

As of now, I have the disk partitioned as one partition, all free space. Unfortunately, Disk Utility won't show me any partitions and in Terminal, it only yields "disk1" instead of "disk1sX" so I'm not sure what to do from here.

Thanks a lot for any help!

I had some issues formatting also, try running wbfs as sudo and unmount the drive prior to running the 'sudo ./wbfs -p /disk1s0 init' command

Doh! Thats exactly what my problem was - couldn't figure out why I couldn't do an init on a new partition, and this was why. Thanks!

On a related note, I'm using the wbfs binary extracted from the Resources folder of WBFS for MacOS X v1.2. Most seems to work fine, but when I do an extract, I get an error like:

> wbfs -p /dev/rdisk1s1 extract RSPE01
writing to Wii_Sports.iso
Done in 0:00:10
wbfs(15716) malloc: *** error for object 0xa087c518: Non-aligned pointer being freed
*** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
>

It seems to complete and write the ISO ok, should I worry about this error? I'm trying to backup my HD, and am worried that I'll end up with corrupt ISOs.

It seems the creators have dropped this but can ANYONE possibly add wbfs to wbfs cloning... I feel this would be an awesome feature for sharing with other, and if some of us want to upgrade our USB drive this would really simplify the process.

LMFAO at this entire thread.

LMFAO at every comment on how people prefer to use OSX over windows

windows7 ftw.

LMFAO on how mac users still choose to use an inferior OS nobody gives a shit about.

pro tip: throw your over priced underpowered mac away - get a pc.
not only you get great quality fast hardware at a fraction of the price, but windows7 is actually 10x better than osx in terms of stability AND performance. only idiots get viruses when they download shit from porn sites or do other stupid crap. it amazes me how some people can even possibly consider ever using a mac for any reason at all. actually im not surprised in the least bit, a sucker is born every minute.

Go flame somewhere else. We don't need you here. If you want to use W7, go ahead and do that, no point on getting everyone else on the same sinking boat..

why the hell did you come here to post that, in a topic about macs, for no apparent reason at all? not only is flaming is bad, but when you flame about the sole thing being talked about in a thread, you realize you will lose...idiot. im not gonna start...

Also, on another note, ever time i try to rename a game, it puts it back to the original as soon as the drive disconnects. runnin leopard using a lacie 250GB. Im using usbloader gx, so im changing names through the text file, but whats wrong with my wbfs. and when will the next wbfs manager for mac be released, or who is in charge of the project?

EDIT: if the post below is true, then i guess dreamworks, pixar, and paramount are all extremely stupid because they only use macs, its too bad every single movie they make is crap. its a pity wall•e looked so fuzzy and crappy.

because i can. because mac users are the most delusional force on earth. this might shock you - but i like to post "for no apparent reason at all" because i do whatever the fuck i want. im not a retarded moth attracted to pretty lights (typical mac user) and i dont live by some imaginary set of internet rules. in other words, im not a bitch. i like to pick on mac users because they are the joke of the internet. its like you're so damn stupid AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT, but you cant see it. macs are such a huge failure that simply owning one clearly states you have poor judgment. poor judgement that reflects on more aspects of life than simply what computer should you purchase.

devs:
if you pick this up again would you please consider adding zip/rar support and iso-ciso transfer & conversion.
it would save allot of backup space. (especially for my kids games that are usually no where near 4gb.)

thanks for a great tool for the mac!

Are PowerPC Mac big endian ?
I've checked the source code of libwbfs and it's should only working for little endian CPU (intel for example).
I have an ARM (big endian) device that I'd like to use to write to my WBFS drive but it's corrupting it all the time (saying that my WBFS is empty and giving me some errors after that when doing a ls) ...
I started to make the code compatible with both endianess but it's quite long !

Hi All,

Totally new to all this, so please forgive if this has been asked before...

Have 16G USB Key formatted on the WII and another one formatted FAT32 (MBR) Primary partition on MAC OS X using Disk Utility.

Can not get WII USB Loader 1.5 to reformat the second USB (have tried every option I can think of to wipe all partition, apple start up files and all off the key to allow the WII to recognise it but to no avail). Is there any way on a MAC to load a WBFS image to to the primary partition and overwrite whatever the MAC has put there so that the WII will recognise it? I have installed the WBFS 1.2 for MAC OS X but it will only reformat a partition already created by a WII. Is there a utility that will just format a WBFS partition straight onto a USB device?

Just keeps coming up with the error -1 (meaning no device)... restart.

It works exactly the same in Snow Leopard.

Regarding Snow Leopard
Every time after a add iso is complete Finder detects a non readable drive
This results with WBFS for mac x freezing
And time to force quit and restart WBFS all over again
Its running in single transfer mode, crash mode

Maybe i am the only person that is having this issue
Or maybe most people don't wish to sign up to leave a comment
Whichever the case Im not a happy camper
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated
