Hey everyone, I'm back, with better metrics and a better understanding of Google Sheets! Hey, this time, I might even stick the landing, who knows?

Anyway, here's the survey:

I tried a couple of questions where custom inputs were possible on the previous survey, and the myriad of different spellings and formats for answers just caused Google Sheets to give me inaccurate data. On top of that, there are so many games for the Switch that if I try to just list them all, it'll be a nightmare to scroll past the wall of a thousand games. If someone plays Celeste, for example, it'll make a new heading for

• celeste
• CELESTE
• cELESTE

and every other variant imaginable. Even worse, Google Sheets is like Windows 10 before it, a piece of software trying so hard to be user friendly that it does everything in its power to remove the user from decisions about the usage of the product. This results in someone like myself who isn't new to computers being frustrated at the lack of customization. The compromise is to include a selection of Nintendo's targeted games, the ones that were advertised, the big ones. I play a lot of indie games myself, so it's annoying to only include this selection, but them's the brakes.

For games you spent 30+ hours on you should have "Other". I was gonna tick Fortnite but it wasn't there so I only had Super Mario Odyssey.

You can't expect the tools to do everything for you. When doing complex surveys and analytics you have to go into the data by yourself to collate and verify it properly.

i've been on here since 2003, just cause i had interest in hacking my gba, xbox, gamecube, xbox360, nds, wii, wii u and 3ds doesn't mean i have interest in hacking my switch.
