About the Acer 5742G-5465G50BN - (Price $1,109.00)
A modern Core i5 processor one of NVIDIA’s newer graphics cards, and a Blu-ray reader makes for a very worthwhile allrounder notebook.
The Acer 5742G-5465G50BN for $1,109 stands apart from other Core i5 allrounders due to it having a Blu-ray reader, and the rest of the specs are all very good. If you want a Blu-ray reader on top of versatile computing, this is the notebook for you.

For $1,109 the Acer 5742G-5465G50BN is a good value Core i5 allrounder notebook. It has an Intel Core i5-460M (2.53GHz) processor, which is fast enough to handle very demanding computing tasks and of course play movies using the Blu-ray reader. A combination of 4GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 420M graphics card allows you to run games like Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on medium settings with no drama.

The 500GB hard drive provides a large amount of storage, while the 15.6in (1,366x768 resolution) screen ensures a good quality visual experience. It weighs 2.6kg, and measures 34mm thick, 253mm deep, and 381mm wide.
From the top google link.

In other words, probably yes, although at medium settings or lower.

Im pretty sure it will run at medium-high (from lowest to very high), while plugged into a wall socket.
