Well, on their forum it sure is a link to cobra-ude. So it looks legit.

Isn't that kinda racist to consider "designed in Europe" to be a "feature"?
Not really. Most of "designed in China" stuff is known to be... well... poor in terms of quality. Not only that, "Europe" is not a race, it's a continent... so it can't be "racist". :P

As for the website... Comic Sans MS? Professional. :yay: I'll believe it when I see it, for now I haven't seen the Cobra UDE or the WiiKeyU, so... I'm going to shrug until I actually see the devices.
How do you sleep at night. Mario Kart 8 is definitely a game you DON"T pirate. What is the world coming to these days.
No need for moralizing, it's his console and his choice.

The game is good enough to archive and to preserve it, while playing the backup of the game. Don't worry I bought an actual copy of MK8.

So did something happen recently that made it possible for these companies to start pumping out Drive emulators or has every company just spent the same amount of time perfecting the technology?

Unless the drive has been specifically customized to be "a b*tch" that uses an exotic disc format, they're all relatively similar in built and I/O, hence they're a "liability" of sorts. This is why "developing" an ODDE is "simpler" in comparison to, say, creating a modchip that uses an exploit in the system (which you have to find, document etc.). As long as the drive behaves the same as the original, the console is none the wiser.

jesus.............. dont waste your money or time people. anyone that does is beyond thick/repair lol
Why so? Some people like the convenience of adding from an HDD. Optical drives are prone to failure, having an alternative is nice in the long run.
