Hacking cobra ode and 21xx

I've done a successful rgh before, but I'm no pro at soldering. I would hate myself if I f'ed up my precious 40xx slim. I figure if I buy another ps3 for ode I might as well make it easy on myself, so I'm thinking about getting a CECH-2101a.

Just want to verify that the install on this model is solderless and works regardless of firmware?

not sure about solderless, but afaik all firmware is supported. better to prob check the cobra website.
