Hello everyone!
I bought a second gamecube for myself recently and have a problem with it. So I tried playing games and they read just fine on original settings (no POT tweak, around 600 Ohms), but there was a clicking noise, which I figured out was the laser assembly and would every once in a while get a DRE randomly in a game. So I figured it would be good to tweak the POT down to around 200-300 Ohms. But that didn't help either. Therefore I know it is not the laser being to weak being the problem. Now what I think what might cause this issue, might be a displacement of the lens or the spinner were you put your games on. I also tried to clean the lens very gently with IPA and a microfiber cloth, but the problem persists. So here is my question: Did anyone have experience with this error and has a way to fix it? Would be very thankful for some tips.
