How exactly can you enterely clear the error log?
I've used SX OS and TX-LayeredFS quite a lot offline, and I'm thinking about going back online and updating. Therefore the console should be as clean as possible. Is there anything else that I could do before going online? All settings that I know of are already set (no auto update, no error reporting, GDPR block, etc)
Thanks!

There is no way this is gonna help you with not getting ban. But just use the last hetake and launch stock firmware + clear logs

The only way you're making that console as clean as possible is by restoring a NAND backup that was made before hacking the console
But isnt that Dangerous to Brick the Switch?
You need each time before going Online an Restore of the backup.
I remember someone told this probably bricks the nand

Restoring the NAND is how you recover from a brick. However, that assumes the NAND dump you are restoring is not corrupt in any way. So if you restore a corrupted NAND dump, you will brick the Switch. That's why you make NAND dumps with CTCaer's mod of Hekate V3.1+ because it implements proper verification.

(Still not an effective long term solution as eventually you will be unable to write to the eMMC after a certain number of cycles)

I do have a NAND backup of a month ago or so, on the same FW version. By then, I had used hekate but not SX OS nor layeredFS. I'll revert to that (after making a dump now just in case).
Thanks for the advice!

Restoring the NAND over and over and over... will induce flash-wear on the NAND chip over the entire NAND. Doing it once to repair a bricked NAND is fine, doing it every time you want to clear the logs to go online will brick your console after enough cycles.

This is a good solution to wipe your system if you want to go clean permanently, its not a good solution if you want to cheat the system.

I can always count on V-Temp to make my posts as accurate and informative as possible...

Yes, I'm aware of this and I thought it was implied but I'll go ahead and amend not just one but BOTH of my posts to make sure any future viewers are aware of the risks.

Sorry. Didn't mean to step on toes.

A lot of people saying clearing logs can get you banned, without anyone actually being banned for clearing logs...

Everyone just makes the assumption that since there's logs on the console out of the factory that Nintendo is going to actually check if your console has a bunch of logs from the factory.

Multiple people were banned. That's why everyone says it...

And because logs can't be cleared from the console by default, they just need to check the difference between last online and now online.

Also on nowadays cheap NAND if you will make a full nand restore once a day everyday for two years, maybe then there will be some signs of wear...

Links? First I'm hearing of anyone being banned from clearing logs. Sure a lot of people have been banned but all of them did something that would obviously result in a ban like using SX OS online or LayeredFS online.

I don't have links. But if you don't believe me, it's your problem, because it is a known fact that Nintendo sometimes bans for clearing error log.

Not sure you can call it a fact when there's no evidence it is actually the cause of any bans. A bit strange that Nintendo is only picking and choosing a couple of people that are clearing logs to ban rather than banning everyone, that would make absolutely no sense. I'll be astonished if you can find a person that was banned because they cleared logs and not because they did something like use SX OS or something similar.

Sure it could be possible that they can tell you deleted logs and ban you but there is no evidence of this actually happening so saying it's known to cause bans is just you guessing.

I've been clearing logs for well over a month and heading online all the time, as have many other people. Why am I not banned. Do you really think they just pick and choose out of the thousands of people clearing logs?

There is a evidence. Just search for it. I also cleared the log multiple times. Yet, someone got banned for it. Just search.
