Well, that is a shame. I guess we really do need the bootrom for this.

eh, all hope is not lost, pretty sure someone got them already without bootrom, though they aren't willing to share apparently (also bootrom has been dumped privately apparently)

I know someone that says they dumped it, but from what they where saying it is pure lies. I kinda hope the bootrom keys "leak" at some point, there could never be an emuNAND wall like there is now.

Don't have my hopes up though.

Well people like Rei (creator of ReiNAND) have already dumped it iirc.
Take what I say with a grain of salt though because I'm not 100% sure.

If they had then we'd have 9.6+ emuNAND on n3ds... Unless it's in the works then I doubt it. You might be getting it confused with the constant, C from the AES key scrambler which is not the same thing

If this memchunkhax2 is being worked on by an excellent 3ds coder steveice10 who has coded many things for the scene do you not think he will incorporate a new version of fbi (which he wrote) to do the downgrade as the default program for it. And would you want to use this app from justpingo who hasn't coded anything for the 3ds then good look with that.

Well not exactly. I do believe @JustPingo is making the application that'll use memchunkhax2. Anything is possible though.

The default program will be called Kernel Time Machine by @JustPingo. Anyone has to start with something, right? If he releases the code and the app works, why should we doubt him? I think he will make big contributions to the scene in the future, starting with KTM.

I'm guessing Stevice10 will integrate it with libkhax which, in turn, is already in FBI. A new version can be built to support this and I'm sure it will be. Also you can't downgrade with FBI (that's why people want something else, you'll brick your system otherwise) and @JustPingo has some good ideas (packs which have hashes that get verified before flashing, system detection, region detection, etc.) That's why people want to use his stuff

Yes, but, from what I've seen so far, to downgrade you'll probably gonna need FBI or Pasta and once in pasta you're gonna need to enter to Hombrew Launcher again, so you better start getting that Ocarina of Time

Ehh, what? All he needs to do is boot an app from menuhax then downgrade, then use browserhax to reinstall menuhax
