So i'm finally getting around to updating to 11.3 and I'm not 100% of what version are installed on my New 3ds. Anyway I'm looking for a clarification on something written in Plailect's guide for updating A9LH; Step 12 (I believe the final step) reads:‎
If you are using a New 3DS, you should also enable the following:‎
  • “New 3DS CPU” to “Clock+L2(x)”
  • This will increase the framerate of many games, but may cause instability in others
  • If some games do not work properly, disable this option and try again
  • This breaks the Homebrew Launcher on 11.3!‎
What does that last line about 'this breaks the homebrew launcher in 11.3' mean; specifically I'm not even sure what 'this' in the last line is referring to and exactly what does it mean by 'break' (temporarily, permanently?). Clarification and advice are definitely appreciated.

BTW I did upgrade the the newer version of the homebrew launcher that was released after 11.3 even though i'm still on 11.2; ‎throwing that out there if it matters.
Thanks!‎

You just posted this 4 times including the first btw, in the Luma setting just tick the option to off/disabled and you'll have 0 problems.

It just means that if you update to 11.3 it breaks the Homebrew launcher title on the tile screen of the 3ds. as you are still running 11.2 it wont really matter.

Also there is a really easy way to fix the break it just involves renaming the home brew launcher title i think. if you want to upgrade 11.3 I could link you.

I have upgraded and everything works fine for me (Luma A9lh)

First my genuine apologies if somehow this got posted multiple times in a row.
Anyway about keeping the homebrew launcher working after I upgrade to 11.3 (something I thought was fixed when the homebrew launcher was updated after the 11.3 patch); could you send me the link you mentioned? I'd like to upgrade but don't wont to loose any previous functionality like access to the homebrew launcher.
(homebrew launcher and homebrew channel are the same thing, yes?)

Also, based on what someone else said I'm fine as long as I don't use the overclocked mode? In your opinion is it preferable to keep the ability to use the overclocked on 11.2 vs losing it to go to 11.3 thanks for the replies
