ClanBomber for Nintendo Switch — Homebrew Port

icon.jpg

A homebrew port of the classic open-source Bomberman-style multiplayer game ClanBomber2 (originally by Andreas Hundt and Denis Oliver Kropp, SDL2 fork by viti95) to the Nintendo Switch, built via devkitPro.

Drop bombs, kick boxes, dodge explosions, and outlast everyone else on screen. Up to 8 players battle simultaneously across 33 hand-crafted maps. Two AI difficulty modes fill in for missing humans.

Features
  • 1–8 local players — JoyCon, Pro Controller and split JoyCons all supported
  • 33 bundled maps + custom user maps from SD card (sdmc:/switch/clanbomber/maps/)
  • 8 character skins, team play, configurable round timer
  • Native gamepad mapping — D-Pad or analog stick for movement, A or B to drop bombs
  • Full gamepad-driven Map Editor with tile palette (ZL/ZR cycle, A places)
  • On-screen keyboard (libnx swkbd) for player / map / author name entry
  • Custom NRO icon + NACP metadata
  • Handheld and docked mode

Installation
Copy clanbomber.nro to sdmc:/switch/clanbomber/clanbomber.nro and launch from the Homebrew Menu (Album icon → press R).

For a real Home Menu tile, generate an NSP forwarder with nsp-forwarder.n8.io pointing at that path — install via Tinfoil / DBI / Awoo.

Controls (in-game)
  • D-Pad / Left Stick — Move
  • A / B — Drop bomb
  • Minus — Quit match
Full mapping (menus, Player Setup, Map Selector, Map Editor) is shown in the in-game Help screen.

Requirements
Switch with Atmosphère CFW, or Ryujinx / suyu emulator.
