Oh, sorry, must've missed that bit. I had pretty much the same set of symptoms once and the culprit ended up being that my card was in Slot B instead of A where it usually goes, so that was my initial reaction to this topic.

Try resyncing the miimote when your on the wii menu hold the red button on the wii when your on the main wii screen hold it down for 15seconds then let go and press it again for 1 second and then press the red button on the back of the miimote.
