Homebrew CIAngel won't install .cia files

Well it's pretty self explanatory. Says it can't access the kernel.


EDIT : I should mention that it downloads but doesn't install.

...um, maybe you're new to this; but CIAngel requires kernel access to do its job. Menuhax alone doesn't have the necessary permissions to install .cia files (this is what we call "userland" permissions). If you want to install .cia files, you're going to need a CFW (Custom FirmWare) that allows signing and installing the files (the custom firmware has kernel access, thus giving you the necessary permissions). I suggest Plailect's guide if you want to go that route. Just be very, very cautious so you don't mess up and end up with a brick. It will take a while, but the payout is quite rewarding.

That's the issue you need CFW you can't install CIAs without it

No prob. A lot has changed in the 3DS scene, and we almost literally have full control of the console now. The guide should be a huge help to get those capabilities. Just be sure to give your full attention to that guide, and it'll be a successful run.
