Hacking CIA and EMUNAND question(s)

I have a 4.5 3DS XL with GW. SYSNand is backed up on my PC but I didn't set up EMUNAND yet.

- a 4GB SD card is enough to install .cia-s with small content(no full games)?
- When I go emunand will my sysnand saves be useless or it can be copied to the SD card?
- If i want to update the GW launcher the process is old EMUNAND->old SYSNAND -> new SYSNAND -> new EMUNAND?

Question.. when I boot Classic, do I need to update that? Cause Im waiting on my Gateway to test.. I already fomatted Emunand.. just waiting for the red to boot into Gateway mode.. I know i have to update the Emunand.. but do I need to update the Classic mode GW3D or are they the same?
