Hi guys. I have an N3DS with B9S and Luma on it. Currently, I am using cheats through Luma (Rosalina I think), and they don't seem to be working. I press L+R to access Luma/Rosalina menu, select "cheats...", and then enable some cheats. When I went back into Cheat Menu, the active cheats were in red text. What am I doing wrong? The current game in question is Dragon Quest 8. Here are some questions I have:

- What are my options for 3DS game cheats? Are there any recommended way(s) to go about this?
- The cheat list for DQ8 says they are for version 1.0. How do I find out which version of game I have?

Thoughts and help greatly appreciated :)

While I am fairly new to the scene, I followed a guide to install the cfw. At the end, I installed Checkpoint, which provides backups for save data but also provides an option for cheats. I have not used them so I cannot comment on their funtion, but Checkpoint exists.

As far as I know, if you install a game it is the 1.0 version. If you afterwards install updates, it gets updated to that version (e.g., installing opdate 1.1 would bump you up to version 1.1 but not yet 1.2, should it exist).

In any case, hope you enjoy your game. I am sure more experienced members can help you further along.
