Homebrew ROM Hack Cheat codes & custom roms in DS virtual console

Hi everybody !

I bought a wii u a few months ago and I modded it. It's been a fantastic experience and I love it.

I would love to play my Pokemon DS games on the virtual console but it seems that it is not possible to enable multiplayer (for exchanges) so I would like to know if there is a way to enable cheats like on an emulator ?
Also are all roms compatible with injection ? Say if I want to modify the rom to change game settings. Or even if I want to play some rom hacks on my wii u.

Depends on which inject you use I got mkwdx rom hack to run from my gamepad but I had to swap the injection tool I was using some injection tools support rom hacks some don't just play around with it (:

You can send cheat codes via the TCPGecko homebrew app and through the JGecko U program on your computer. And you should be able to translate any known Gameshark codes or the like to the Wii U format. How you do that exactly, I couldn't tell you, but I've had others turn N64 Gameshark codes into usable codes for N64 VC games on the Wii U. So it's definitely doable.
