Of course it can be fixed. Are you stepping up? I would guess old cheat makers already moved on.

Here is my take. There are fans of a game who are cheat maker, or at lease have the capability to update cheats of their favorite games, as long as they are still fan the cheats will get updated automatically. On the other hand there are cheats maker who update their cheats due to popular demand. This will stop after a while.

If you don’t want to do much you can consider the easy way out. Put a conditional key on the cheat.

Given that the code still works for P1 you are already at least half way there, maybe even 90% there, you just need to look for a friend or foe distinction. Alternatively you can look for another code to hook by watching what code access P1 HP.
