Hello,

I want to buy a cheap 2 GB SD card from Kingston. The writing speed is 1,5 MBs and reading speed is 5 MBs.
Now my question is:

Is 5 MBs reading speed enough to play GBA/NDS games without lag or is it to slow? I dont care about the writing speed because i don't put roms on it very often and when i do that i have plenty of time.

Regards,
Dennis

Nobody knows?

its also slightly dependent on the flashcard as well, diffferent flashcard have different patch implementation which can changed speed needed.

for me, I am using the SC DS and i have been using the standard kingston ds card which no problems.

I have a Kingston 1GB micro SD in my M3 Simply and I haven't noticed lag

^ SD cards and microSD cards are pretty much different in speed, and the M3 Simply is compatible with almost everything

In my experience, any good flashcart will run well with about any media.

The only exceptions are the odd games like Castlevania.
