The fact that your parents are willing to pay 30 bucks is nice enough, just save up the rest. Or, if you really are that impatient, see if you can do some kind of loan-type thing, where they give you 80 dollars to buy the card, and you pay them back 90. They you get your card, your parents get another 10 dollars, and you learn a lesson about managing money.

A gforce6200.
So probably a "30$ card".

And I'm happy with it.

Wow, that bolded quote is enough for me. The LEAST they could do is keep you in their house, and love you, shelter you, and take care of you. You're a dumbass saying "save up $5 every now and then." Have you EVER had to deal with finances? $5 here and there could keep gas in the car, food on the table, etc. A stupid video card is the LEAST of their worries, unless you're a spoiled rich kid.

Well you can get an ATI 4350 or 3450 HD series card which is equivalent to a ATI 2400 HD XT card and I played CoD4 on that. Only at 800x600 at lowish-medium settings(Don't exactly know the settings I used before). Fine enough. Otherwise, you don't really have any other option then to play without one, which is much worse than having one.

BTW, They also have a bunch of rebates on newegg for those two cards.

Well, my video card broke, and i cant play ANY GAME. which sucks, i can only play flash games, which suck. . .
So im searching for a good video card and find one, about 80 bucks and can run games like cod4 at medium quality, pretty good catch right? Wrong, my parents said "look for one around 30" and my dad says "Let me try and fix your computer"

easiest way to get them around, bullshit them by telling them you need a good graphics card to run 3D graphic design programs or something similar for school.

most parents are far more liberal with money as soon as you mention it will help you with school.
