Hardware Charging Question

When I have Switch as portable, can it be charged when completely turned off, or does it have to be in sleep mode? Thoughts appreciated [emoji4][emoji4]

It will charge when powered down. I can't think of any modern device that doesn't.

I tried charging my switch after powering down but it just turns it back on again...So I guess it only charges when it's on/in sleep mode?

Will charge when conntect to charger. On , off or in sleep mode.
In sleep mode connecting it to the charger will wake it then it will go back to sleep. (Like any tablet or phone)

If off, it will wake it up.
If on, it will charge.
If in sleep mode, it will wake up and show it's charging, then turn off the display after the timeout.

You can turn the Switch off while it's charging and it will be fine. Charging it like that right now.

But I don't see any physical light on the switch indicating that it's charging (the screen just goes black without any indication it's charging either)...It makes it hard to find out if it has finished charging or not (I'd have to turn on again to find out)
