Can any anyone conform how to charge the internal battery.I searched and some people say it has to be plugged into the usb port to charge and others says it recharges while you are playing.Does anyone know which is right or if both are right?

Thanks

There is no documentation with my G6 to indicate charging needs. But I persume leaving it in the loader once a month will do it? Though I've heard others say to do it weekly... so don't know.

my old 256mb gba EZFA had a rechargable battery and that charged while playing...so thats highly possible its the same for the g6.

My EFA 512mbit cart requires the USB port to charge, they say leave it in over night about once a month but I do it less often than this. Playing games doesn't provide enough of a recharge (this is for EFA, might apply to G6 since they are similar).

the G6 battery is not rechargable as it is a standard watch-type battery. it holds sram and will likely last 2 years with normal use. whoever first thought they were rechargable was misinformed or confused

It says "Rechargeable Battery Design" right on the box.

Then I stand corrected

According to 'Danny' at G6Flash.com the battery will be charged while the G6Lite is in use in the NDS or hooked up to the UDisk/USB.

Yeah thanks. I guess I'll folow the EFA method of plugging it in overnight every month or so.

I didn't. I tossed a few roms on it and started using it straight out of the box (it was already at a 3/4 charge when it arrived in the mail).
If you're talking about the battery meter on the main NDS rom screen I think that represents the DS's battery. Last night I used up my DS to the point of red light and when I reset back to the menu I noticed that meter was empty and I think it turned red or changed to a warning sign or something.

Hmm I just noticed there's a discussion on this topic in another thread: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=35663

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the behaviour I experienced.

i don't get it.. i have to battery meters on my screen one looks like an actually battery and is always yellow half full. i've tried leaving my g6 lite hooked up to the computer all night to see if it would charge it.. same thing this morning. the other meter the one with 4 bars is full tho but in yellow..

is there something wrong with my g6 lite ?

I'm tired of seeing this question. That battery meter on the screen will either be yellow meaning good DS battery or red meaning low. the meter represents the DS not the G6 lite. it will be only one of two things, your DS battery is good (meaning you also have a green LED)
