Hardware Charger help?

my charger bent and started to charge poorly,it stopped charging and you had to change positions or bend the charger a certain way...

So today i (accidentally) pulled the charger a little and the the cable broke in two.

We're gonna go to a mall specialized in electronics and the like (its called Plaza de la tecnología,which literally means ''Technology plaza'')

How do i know if im getting scammed?

Its completely possible.Last time we went my brother saw someone was selling an R4.

Not only was it INCREDIBLY expensive (500~ pesos) but when we asked for which version it was compatible the guy was like ''it works for every version''

Either the guy didnt know what he was doing or he didnt care.

I'm not quite sure if this will help you or not, but a typical USB 3da cable should only be a couple us dollars, usually like 4 on ebay for something shipped from America like 2 for something coming from China.. If it looks like a 3ds USB cable or wall charger then it should work, but a few bucks for usb and a few extra for an ac charger..

Just spend a couple of bucks and get a 3DS USB cable, then you can just charge from anything that has an USB port or even a powerbrick.
At least that's what I use to charge my 3DS and DS Lite.

it was relatively easy to find a charger!

And me and my dad are gonna try to fix the charger!
