Hacking changing the plastic casing for 3in1?

Is it possible to change the plastic casing for the 3in1 to the cover of the one that comes with the ds lite? This way it would match in size and stuff.

You can't fit the EZ3in1 chip in without modifying the dust cover due to the fact that there is less room in the dust cover than the EZ 3in1.

Of course, it still won't fit perfectly. If I can recall correctly, it's the innards that are causing the "less-than-flushness" issue, not the shell replication. Anyway, give it a try.
