ROM Hack Changing models

My favorite game on the 3DS is Mario Kart 7 and i want to change some of the character models (or just edit the model a little bit) but i couldnt find anything on how to change models for 3DS games. Is there a way i can change models for Mario Kart?

Is there a way? Probably. Is there a remotely easy way that you could probably figure out? Most certainly not, because if there was, everyone would be doing it already.
