only way i know of is to change it in the apps source code then build the app with the new source code .Is there a way to change homebrew app's cios?
can you do it?only way i know of is to change it in the apps source code then build the app with the new source code .
i could try. what app is it you are trying to use and what cios?can you do it?
If you do take this on, if possible please make the ios used customizable via meta.xml arguments so it is more versatile in the future without requiring additional updatesi could try. what app is it you are trying to use and what cios?
WiiStation version 2.4, can you change its cios to 252? It's because I installed the fakemote module in slot 252 ios 58, and hopefully if you succeed, my ps3 controller will be recognized as wiimote and work with the app.i could try. what app is it you are trying to use and what cios?
ok cool ill check out the code and see what i can do to add meta args to app .WiiStation version 2.4, can you change its cios to 252? It's because I installed the fakemote module in slot 252 ios 58, and hopefully if you succeed, my ps3 controller will be recognized as wiimote and work with the app.
FYI usb loader gx's auto ios feature prefers higher slots. So give your setup any games where it wants to use d2x base 58 it will auto choose slot 252 with fakemote instead of the slot 251 which presumably u have installed as recommended (d2x base 58 without fakemote)WiiStation version 2.4, can you change its cios to 252? You should be able to take a forwarder wad and change it's ios slot using modmii or customize mii or probably a few other tools, this should work. That being said, changing the ios via meta.xml arguments would be a nice featureIs there a way to change homebrew app's cios?
ok, I don't know if that's gonna change things, but what i do is I simply set "game cios" to 252 in the settings and it remembers my choice and works with no problemsFYI usb loader gx's auto ios feature prefers higher slots. If u don't want it to be auto selected it should be installed to a lower slot, like 240 or something
yeah, gotta try that, don't have time to mess around with it at the moment, but anyway if @scooby74029 pulls through, it would be a game-changerYou should be able to take a forwarder wad and change it's ios slot using modmii or customize mii or probably a few other tools, this should work. As you can see from the image attached, you can't change app's cios, only it's ios using customizemii. How to do it using modmii? You should be able to take a forwarder wad and change it's ios slot using modmii or customize mii or probably a few other tools, this should work. showmiiwads won't let you change the IOS slot, its grayed outOpen the wad using modmii, either drag and drop or select F from modmii classic's main menu
Edit: showmiiwads may also work
so i found the code in wiistation for the ios it looks for and allows = ios 58/61Changing the ios used is the same as changing the ios slot used, try entering the ios slot # to where u have fakemote installed. Note that if other apps are not able to do this there's a chance it may fail using modmii too
so, are you going to keep trying or is it a lost cause?so i found the code in wiistation for the ios it looks for and allows = ios 58/61
i added slot 252 to the code but i am unable to get it to compile so .......
well, I've managed to change the wiistation forwarder's ios to 252 via modmii (the slot where I have fakemote installed) and it created a modified .wad file, didn't try it yet though.... but i will and report backChanging the ios used is the same as changing the ios slot used, try entering the ios slot # to where u have fakemote installed. so, you just put 251 here and it did the trick, right?I edited a WiiStation forwarder with CustomizeMii 3.11, changed the IOS slot to 251 (I have a d2x cIOS with FAKEMOTE installed on that slot) and it worked with Fakemote quite well. The Wii froze on a black screen after I exited the emulator though.

didn't work for me.... I changed the IOS using modmii and then did the same thing using customizemii, so I got two different wad files.... both times I got black screenedCorrect, i guess what @Zurdonx actually said he has done.
